OLW #34 ~ Choose

When I received the invitation for this gig, honestly, I freaked out. LOL! They're a bunch of fantastic girls, each with so much talent they so generously share word after word. So, yours truly can't help but feel a little bit intimidated. *grins*

Freaked out, I did. But of course, I accepted. For there is no secret that I adore OLW. I think adore is an understatement, actually.

So thank you OLW Girls!!

Here's my take on Word Up #34.

Chosen Words

Some Chosen Words to inspire.

We must have the courage to allow a little disorder in our lives. Henry David Thoreau.

Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction. Antoine De Saint-Exupery.

No life is so hard that you can't make it easier by the way you take it. Ellen Glasgow.

I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today. William Allen White.

Happiness... is not a destination: it is a manner of traveling.
Happiness is not an end in itself. It is a by-product of working,
playing, loving and living. Haim Ginott.

Some close ups. . .

I love love love this photoless layout. Just a collection of my favorite quotes right this moment.

I made a lot of choices this year... and I am proud of them. Every single one of them. Thank you for the love, friends.

Pencil Lines #99 - Mellette Berezoski

Mellette Berezoski is our Guest Designer this week! How awesome! The girl just oozes talent! I love seeing what she comes up for her Etsy Shop too! If you pop by her blog, there are tons of eye candies waiting for ya!

The team is sponsored by the fabulous Jenni Bowlin and we had absolute pleasure playing with her stuffs. FUN! :)

My take. (I had a hard time capturing the true colors of the layout, urghhhh!! The cardstock is actually more pinkish instead of red. *sighs* :)

So delightful

~having both of you in my life, is perfect. Oh I'm so very very L.U.C.K.Y.

On the other hand, thank you for your birthday wishes. We had a very nice weekend! Seafood lunch, time with my mom and sister, a wedding, time with Sham's aunts and dad too. How perfect is that? and oh.. some toasted soft buns that are super delish, especially on a rainy afternoon :)

DSC_7556

Here's the birthday girl with her very yummy Nutella Cake. Someone got some Hannah Montana goodies, and a new shiny red bicycle too, and still has a few 'promises' to be fulfilled in the coming weeks.

My brain is in need of decluttering!! Geez! I had a thousand thing to tell you, but somehow I can't get it out.

Another busy week over here, I'll be back soon! (after decluttering - LOL)

Happy Birthday!

Two of the most important people in my life is celebrating their birthday today. I can never put it in words, how much they mean to me.

Happy Birthday Sweethearts! I love you.. forever.

I wish you happiness, I wish you health, I wish you a fulfilling life, I wish you love.

Happy Birthday D!
Happy Birthday Neha!

Happy Birthday!

I can write a lot more about what I wish for them, but seriously, I doubt you want to read a novel here. So I'll just space it out on upcoming layouts :)

Inspired by Jewellery and OLW #33

When Lana emailed us the "Inspiration theme" for this week, my mind goes buzzing with excitement. I love my costume jewellery. Why not? They're cheap, they jazz my boring and comfortable t-shirts and most importantly, they make me feel good. And I'm all about feeling good, who doesn't? :)

I decided to combine this with my OLW #33. I'm a little bit addicted, I think. Yes, I think I'm addicted to OLW.

Inspired by - Jewellery 20-8-2008

Those are my earrings, and my jewellery box.

Faith

Faith in my judgement.
Faith in hope and dreams.
Faith in the tears shed.
Faith in happiness.
Faith in my family.
Faith in this country I call home.
Faith in life.
Faith in love.

Close up 1

Took the color red from the flowered pair and small lined up squares and rectangles from the black pair. The moth - from my jewellery box.

And yes, if you click the pic, you'll be able to see that i inked and glued those tiny little squares and rectangles one by one. That was fun, and hot! Ha-ha-ha-ha! Since we don't have AC at my scrap area, and I couldn't switch on the fan for fear of flying tiny pieces of scraps!

Took me 45 minutes to ink and glue everything down and by then, Neha was already complaining 'coz she was beside me, on her pc. *grins*

I feel a headache coming, and I blame the heat! I love bright sunny day, as long as I don't have to go out direct under it LOL. Gonna lie down and hope this uninvited 'guest' go away.

Pencil Lines #98 - Mou Saha

A week has gone by (wow, really?!!) and it's time for Pencil Lines again! This week, we're having the very talented Mou Saha as our Guest Designer. She is one scrapper that I have been admiring from afar!

My take :
The Bay Area

Gorgeous day. Summer in San Francisco. Fabulous sights and sounds. Jetlagged-ness. Priceless experience. Some crankiness. Tons of laughter. Great times, great times.

One more layout (thanks Laura for the Making Memories Journal Stamp Set! I used one, stamped on Scenic Route paper as photo mat :)) to add to the Vacation album, which I don't have LOL. I dump all my layouts into one album. No categorizing, no separating into years, months or whatever. Once it's filled up, I will get another album ;)

This works for me, well, if the girls feel like categorizing my layouts later on when they're all grown up, they can do so. (gives them something to do, eh? after all, I scrapped them already - ha-ha-ha!!) And oh, I have to thank Neha for holding my layout for photo taking *grins* . . . I forgot to bring down the blue tacks and too lazy to go up again. So, thank you Girl, and good luck for your exams this week! I love you :)

What did I do this past week? I filed away all my clear and unmounted stamps. They're now all snug inside their clear pockets and ring files. Finished two layouts, paper ones, one which I will be able to show you later this week. Went for grilled seafood dinner at Newton . Watched The Darjeeling Limited (sweet lime? *grins*).

Lost my ring when we went swimming on Saturday (such a klutz! arrrghhhhh!!). Made a list of things I need want from the new Stampin' Up catalog, my demonstrator is Robyn Werlich. You can view her SU site here.

Still devouring New Moon, mainly because I'm still not with Eclipse, so trying to stretch New Moon for as long as possible! Seems futile though, since I will be having lots of waiting to be done while Nidhi finish her classes.

Boy, I blabber a lot eh? *blush* Sorry :) Be back soon for Inspire Me night!

Pencil Lines #97 - Shiho Okamoto

It's time for Pencil Lines again!! This week, Shiho Okamoto is joining us. She is one amazing artist. You can take my word or go visit her blog and be inspired (recommended!).

My take . . .
Family

What else is happening with me? Let's see. . . Oh! my scrap table is still looking wild but it's all for good. For I have a layout in the works on it. . . which I hope, I will be able to share with you soon.

Photobucket

I have been snuggling with Edward Cullens and Bella Swan and the Coven. I'm always falling behind trend or the crazy wave or whatever.. so I just finished Twilight and will be starting New Moon tonight! And just for the record, although I have been reading a lot about "The Saga" by Stephanie Meyer on many blogs (Layle's one of it, Nichol's another one!), I never intended to go out hunting for them 'cause I'm funny like that. I have never read any Harry Potter books, or whatever series that is so popular you have to put your name down/ or stay in line to get any of the book.

I think it's fate? I walked into a bookstore and there they were. Staring back at me, calling my name. I took a deep breath and said, this is really meant to be! Crazy! I know! But my relationship with books is something that few people can understand, really. So I got me the first two books, and now on the waitlist (for the first time EVER!) for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn 'cause they sold all their copies before I got there. Nice!

Thank you to all the fabulous people who blogs about these books. Without you, I would never have picked up any of them. From the bottom of my heart.. thanks so much! YOU ROCK!

Inspire Me Night and OLW #32

My first Inspire Me Wednesday! Don't walk, RUN to the blog now. A huge post with tons of inspirations is waiting for you :) Play with us for a chance to win a Scrap Magie kit!

Here's mine.
Nidhi's highlighers Set.
This is a multi-tip highlighter. It belongs to Nidhi (whose face you will see in the next layout). When Lana told me we'll be looking at stationary for inspiration, I immediately thought of this little thing. Oh the hours of fun she has with it is amazing and it is always everywhere in the house! On the dining table, on her dresser, on the coffee table, underneath the sofa. You name it.

And here's the layout that come out of it :)
The Very Unwilling You
Plain and simple, yes? *grins* Seems that mommy didn't get the message! LOL!

Credits here.

And here's my take for OLW #32.
Being Mommy ~ Being Sure

To be with you every step of the way,
to just be mommy,
this is what i want,
absolutely,
definitely.

Credits here.

Now I need to go and tame the jungle that is my scrap desk, then maybe I'll have a paper layout or two to show you soon!!
