Pencil Lines #104 - Dawn Inskip

How do you sharpen a blunt paper puncher? Punch through aluminium foil? Did that, but it is so not helping. Maybe I need to do it repeatedly? I punched through the foil pieces like 10 times, or rather 20 times and it's still not sharp. *sigh* There goes my favorite circle punch.

Okayyyyyyyy *pouts* enough about my punch problems. *grins*

Pencil Lines #104 is up! Dawn Inskip is guesting for us this week and I don't know how she does it, but she is, seriously getting more fabulous by the hour! There is just something about her pages that... *urgghh..* I'm bad at explaining! DUH!!. Lovin her whole style, in short, she just rocks!! I'm really digging her digital photo overlays! Time to go shopping eh :)

On Her Way

Pencil Lines #104.

On her way
to beautiful.
to happy-ness.
to contentment.
to wonderful.
to life.
Love,
I’ll be right behind you.

Something to ponder. . .

What is/are your greatest fear/fears? For me, I fear being taken away from my children when they are still in need of me. I fear being a bitter person. I fear not being able to let go of negativities thrown my way. I fear losing my health and ability to take care of my family and myself.

I fear a lot.
I love a lot too.
That's life I guess :)

{okayyy, I just previewed this post and whoaaaa... such a roller coaster LOL, sorry if I make you giddy with such mixture of thoughts! *grins*}

Till I 'see' you again. . .

The word is out. . .

tg_announcement

TG Announcement

A mixture of emotions ran through me when I got the email from Cindee two days ago. I jumped with joy, I freaked out, I feel blessed, I shrieked and laughed so hard my tummy hurts, I was scared and inspired at the same time! (yes, I'm THAT crazy!)

A new adventure awaits. New challenges. Changes. Good changes. I-am-absolutely-without-a-doubt, grateful for this opportunity. Thank you Cindee and Cathy.

Thank you too for the emails and comments that came poppin' into my inbox, before I had the chance to post this on the blog. You're sweetness!

I'm off to spend the day with my beloved man and girls. I'll see you soon!
*hugs*

Oh so Giggly

Hambly goodness

So yesterday Monday evening, the Fedex guy paid me a visit. From his hand, to mine, went a box filled to the brim of Hambly goodness!! Filled-to-the-brim! Excited? Happy? Breathless? Ecstatic? You bet!! Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than that!!! Way more, I can assure you! Yay! Have to stop stroking the stuffs and start using though. LOL! And as Mandi said, they smell divine! LOL!

I did one layout for September Prima Build-a-Page. Janine designed the page, I made it mine :) Loads of fun! (i've been saying that a lot? no?)

oh so giggly

Close ups. Urmm.. a few close ups more than usual.

Urmm.... enough of close ups me thinks. (sorry. . )I just love many things on this layout and wanted to share those with you! *grins* Just let me know if you have any questions or anything at all. You can email me (button on the left) or leave me a comment here.

and Oh, that green, the die cut paper green, yummy lime green, must be on my 'Top 10 list' right now. I like the color, like crazy lovin' that color right now. I wanna find a pendant in lime green, so I can have it near me at all time. It makes me happy. Will you share your top ten with me and make me fall in love with more colors? :D it's not that hard, I promise. Nidhi wants to paint her room black, red and pink, while Neha wants hers purple and pink. Go figure. *roll eyes* You can say we're a colorful bunch.

Twitter

I'm twittering. Before Twitter, urmm.. things keep poppin' in my head, you know, like mini updates. I was thinking, no way I could update my blog that often.. thus, twitter is a good way to connect. So I signed up. And then. . .

BLANK!

LOL. I suddenly have nothing to say!! Hahaha! Typical me :) We'll see though. I'm leaving it there, on my sidebar ----------->
just in case, you know.. just in case mini updates pop in my head again.

Pencil Lines #103 - Ayako Katayama

What happened? Goodness, it's already time for the next sketch for Pencil Lines? Did I sleep my week away? Some of it maybe. I was really taking it real easy last week. Just enjoying surfing YouTube, hopping from one video to another! *grins*

So this week, we're having Ayako Katayama as our Guest Designer. Are you familiar with her work? She is . . WOW! I love her layout for us this week. I have a mission now, to find her online gallery. LOL!

My take.

{unwanted}

The feelings of being unwanted.
All the unwanted feelings.
Be gone.
Please.
Thank you.

Another no-explanation-available layout. Just something I needed to get out of my system. And instead of storing it inside my already cluttered brain, I put it there. No one needs to understand the meaning behind the layout. I made it for me.

Busy week ahead. Neha has a few rehearsals, than her actual concert on Friday. Nidhi has concert practices, more recording to be done I reckon.

Eid on October 1st. I'm looking forward to seeing families, especially my sisters, it has been a while since all 4 of us managed to be under one roof. Sham is 'looking forward' to listen to us talking without a pause. LOL. Urmm.. after I typed that, I feel like crying LOL... coz I miss my sisters so much. *sob*sob* And I think my favorite cousin will not be with us this year. . .Yana, miss you. *sob*sob* Maybe I'll ask Sham if he wants to drive up north instead.

After that, we're gonna hit the books, preparing for year end exams. *wince* I don't like exams, just don't tell Neha okay?

"My life is being sabotaged by talking chipmunks!"
I keep hearing that line in my head, yeah.. and together with all the songs from this movie. Hard not to get them playing in your head when you watch it everyday! *grins* And you know what's bad? I actually enjoy watching/listening to it with Nidhi. LOL. So that's already in writing, Nidhi's 'flavor' of the month. Wonder what's her 'next change'. *grins*

And oh, someone, relented and bought Ipod shuffle for the girls. *roll eyes* Shuffle is enough for now I think, let them earn the upgrade. LOL.

Off to bloghop! See you!

Pencil Lines #102 - Christine Middlecamp

Our Guest this week is the uber talented Christine Middlecamp, the Queen of Details! She continue to amaze me, layout after layout, without fail.

My take on her sketch :

A perfect day to be eight

Saturday.
23rd August 2008.
A perfect day to be eight.
Hannah Montana goodies!
Seafood lunch.
Shiny red bicycle.
Nutella cake!

A close up of the handstitching.

close up - stitching

Some randomness.
- I'm feeling all out of sorts right now, and I seek comfort from my family.
- I'm lovin' those twinkling fairy lights Sham set up at our window before he left for Paris.
- I have a date with Nidhi at lunch today, where to? The $2 shop in town.
- Life is fragile and short and wonderful and I love it.
- I have a mile-long-to do-list.
- 3 more sleeps until Sham is home. 3 more sleeps until we're complete.

OLW #35 - Love

The word this week :- LOVE.

Simple eh?
Not so.

I thought hard about what the word means to me. Then I scrapped this.

{self love}

Credits here.

I have no words to offer as explanation for the layout above. Sorry. All I wanted to say, I said, and it's on the layout.

my last gig for OLW ~ To the OLW girls, Thank you for having me in your midst, having me among your creativeness. Thank you. Especially to darling Ronda, who is always so encouraging and kind. Rest assured I will be playing along. . . :)

I'm off to play with my papers and glue tape, (or maybe sleep, who knows? LOL) but before I go, here's something I wanna share with you.

Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality;
man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true.
~ Napoleon Hill

Love you guys!!

Pencil Lines #101 - Becky Novacek

We're now at Sketch #101 with Becky Novacek as Guest Designer!! My O My. . . she is this totally awesome, talented person, a great photographer, somewhat of a legend in my book!. I have been a lurker for quite some time. Guess now is a good time for me to come out of lurkdom eh :) You should pay her a visit too ----> live & learn.

Here's my layout for this week...
Lotte World

Credits here.

Just using a bunch of photos of us at Lotte World, Seoul. How I miss that place. I need a vacation!! Not very smart, I know, seeing that today is the first day of school in Term 4 for the girls. One whole term to go before we even can think about taking off to somewhere :) I'll survive, I'm sure of it. In the meantime, I'll probably scrap those pictures a couple hundred more times! (ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!)

What are you listening to? Hannah Montana is still big in our household, together with anything from Camp Rock. I will need to buy the cd soon, right now, the girls just keep repeating the movie over and over again. *grins* And we're all ready for HSM 3, Nidhi has the movie poster tacked to the door of her wardrobe! LOL! Can you tell I'm as crazy over Disney Movies as my girls are? *grins*

But when they're napping, or when I'm driving alone, I listen to Hope. She has this amazing, crystal clear, soothing voice. To me, she sounds like something blissful, blessed and contented. Silly, I know. But that is just how I feel about her. She has an album for free download right now, so you've got nothing to lose. And Hope, thank you for sharing your voice with us, with me especially, really, seriously, thank you.

Inspired By Windows

I'm a day late, or so I think. I'm supposed to post this yesterday evening, which is my usual time for Inspire Me night. Who's keeping track, right? Only myself! LOL! I'm all smiles though. We spent yesterday night with my family, giggling away with my sisters, chatting with my parents, good food and enough teasing to last us until the next time we see them.

IIM7 is all about windows, doors, curtains and more!! I keep changing my mind on what I was gonna use as inspiration. *sigh* so fickle, but that's me and I have long accepted embraced that particular word, along with klutz, emotional, moody and many others. Nice eh? *grins*

In the end, I chose this particular photo from our Frisco trip. This is the building opposite our room at Parc 55. Urmmm, yes, I took lots of pictures of the buildings around us. I don't know why, or what was I gonna do with all the pictures, but I like having them around.

And here's my layout :)

always

Credits here.

I better start our dinner!! Gotta run :) See you all real soon! *hugs*

Pencil Lines #100 - Kelli Crowe

It's Sketch #100 at Pencil Lines! Wow.. time flies :) Pop on over to join in our celebration :) Bumper issue this week with layouts from DTs, old and current :) Also each designer will be choosing a personal favorite to receive our personal RAK!

This week, we're having the fabulous, Kelli Crowe as our Guest Designer. I think she needs no introduction at all. I really enjoy reading her posts on homeschooling :) I will never have that kind of patience! I need my girls to go to school and so I can recharge and they can come back and have a better mommy waiting at home! LOL :D

My take for sketch #100.
Just so you know. . .

Just so you know. . .
we may not be perfect.
We fight hard,
but we love harder.
I'm so glad we're "us",
a family,
my family, my treasured ones.

Close up.

Once again reached into my 'Laura pile', to use the Making Memories Stamp, and the gorgeous glittered alphas :)

*sigh* I know, I know, I have scrapped that photo a million times LOL. What can I say? that's our latest family picture and I happen to love it to bits, even with the two mascots grinning with us! That being said, we need some new family shots. .!

First day of Ramadhan today. To all Muslims, Have a Blessed Ramadhan :)

I have company right now, a colossal headache that came visiting Saturday morning and never really left. *sigh* Now, please excuse me while I go back into my 'cave' and curl up into a ball. And I'm missing digital scrapping :( I know, that is so random, just had to let it out.
