Label Tulip November :)

I promised I'll be back soon and here I am. A warning though, this post is loaded with photos, so if I unknowingly crashed your puter, I am deeply sorry. Speaking of puter, mine just died on me. Dead. Not blinking, not purring, dead. And along with it, all my bookmarks of your blogs!!Sweet eh? Urrrghhhhh!! I'll work my way around that I'm sure, so please bear with me if I'm a little late with my blog hopping. This puter I'm on is an old one of ours.

I hope someone 'up there' will take pity on me and save the batch of latest photos, at least. And the last few of digital elements not backed up yet. Pretty please, yes?

Time for layouts :)

A very merry Christmas

Yes, still in love with butterflies, glossy accent, glimmer mist and the likes of it.
You still here? Thank you , LOL. As usual, shoot me an email or leave a comment if you have any questions. I'll try and get back to you as soon as I can.

Love you all :)

ETA - Story of The Day (if you knew, you'll know :))

Hidden Ocean
She held her grief behind her eyes like an ocean & when she leaned forward into the day it spilled onto the floor & she wiped at it quickly with her foot & pretended no one had seen.

Pencil Lines #111 - Sarah Jane Dowsett

What's with the once a week posting anyway? I'm still waist deep in assignments, which is good. Busy. I love being busy, love being swamped with assignments and datelines, love love love. Just me.

Monday morning in Singapore, time for Pencil Lines. New sketch is up with the talented Sarah Jane Dowsett guest-ing for us. If you have a minute, (or an hour or two - LOL!), do visit her blog and prepared to be awed :) She designs stamps too!! How fab is that?!

i treasure

The moments that we’re all together.
I treasure each and everyone of you.
I treasure us.

Please excuse the glare, tried as I might, can't hide from it. :D

Close ups, for me as much as they're for you.

close up 1

White lace cardstock, glimmer-misted with few colors. Faux pearls. Ticket and machine stitching. Random. Not so random.

close up 2

Alphas, stamped and embossed. Cranberry. Yummy. :) Yellow paper, yummier. Finishing soon, need to buy some more. Yellow, polka dotted paper that is. You have favorites? Recommend, okay?

close up 3

Love the krafty Fleur-de-lis. Yellow again. Might just be my new favorite color, don't you think?

The layout may be simple, but oh-so-close to my heart. *sigh* I love them so much. Let me introduce okay? Left to right - Neetu (#3), me (#1), Nish (#2), mama, papa and Reena a.k.a. Baby (#4). Yup, I'm the eldest. Neetu and Nish, they're twins and 7 years younger than me, Baby is 11 years younger than me.

In real life, we look so much like each other. Cases of mistaken identity? Always. The dry-cleaning lady will give Neetu my dress/ or tell her the dress is not ready yet and why was she there? , her friend will chat me up like she has known me all her life, things like that. On the phone, we sound alike too. Mama used to get confused. Not anymore, what with the caller ID and we all not living together anymore. :D

I'll be back soon with some Tulip goodness! Very very soon I might add.

Pencil Lines #110 - Cecile Lundstad

And another week. . . and another week. Is it just me? I feel rushed. Shortchanged of my time here. Here as in right now, with my 8 and 6yrs olds. Here as in right now, living the last week of school for this year. Here as in right now, with my soulmate of 10 years. Gosh I'm getting all teary eyed and sentimental.

Sketch #110 is up at Pencil Lines. Cecile Lundstad is with us this week. Have you seen her layout? So lovely. . I could stare at it for hours. *sigh* The amount of talent and inspirations you can find on the Net is simply, seriously amazing.

nish

No complicated detailing works, but I love close-ups, so here you go :)

Love the part stickin' out... Yummmm :)

close up 3

Wanted the rub on swirls to pop up a little bit, so I rubbed on patterned paper, and only glued down parts of it.

What else? Ohh.. I turned 30 last week. Big deal? No. I guess I'm growing up LOL. Evolving. The Husband and The Girls wanted to surprise me, but I spoilt their plans when I woke up while they were 'preparing' for it. Thank you loves, really. These are the people who loves me. They love me, crazy hair, sleep in my eyes, yesterday's face, sans make-up. . . they still love me. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

We proceeded with lots of eating session thru-out the day. LOL! More to come, I'm sure!! So-so bad for my waist line, not that I have any. Brownies anyone? Or Double Chocolate with Oreo? Maybe a scoop of Chocolate and Peanut Butter ice cream... Yummmm!

The Sneaks are up for Label Tulip November! With mouth-watering names like Secret Recipe, Bon Appetit, Hors d'oeuvre and A la Carte, there sure is something for everyone! *grins* I'm rolling around in them as we speak LOL. There's a Project Kit this month too!! Home For The Holidays - is just what you need to maximize scrapping time during this busy time of the year. Wow.. I sound like an ad.. LOL. But really, click that link and you'll see how hard is it not to fall in love and start gushing :)

How was your weekend? We spent Saturday at Neha's school. It was a total blast. Imagine spending 6 hours with hundreds of shrieking girls, yeah, that pretty much sums it up? LOL!

Enough updates from me for now.. would love to hear from YOU!! *hugs*

Pencil Lines #109 - Sasha Holloway

November is here, so is Sketch #109 for Pencil Lines. We have Sasha Holloway joining us this week. We're so blessed with amazing guests week after week! Sasha H is not a exception! The talent inside this girl.... words failed me! *gush* I could go on and on, but really, I am still thinking how lucky I was, when the stars alligned a while ago, coz that was when we found each other. I adore her, and she knows that :) Rock on Girl!

The gallery is looking awesome too with layouts from our readers! You guys rock! Thank you, seriously, thank you for playing along and sharing your talent with us.

Not Made For Walking

a closer look (rephrasing my usual sentence here... LOL)

close up 1

Some Love, Elsie goodness, a stapled sticker from MM Passports collection, buttons (my love affair with buttons, a complicated one.. *winks*), machine stitching, pop dots and a 7G sticker. Those 97% sticker sheet, will they ever finish? I stopped buying so long ago and I still have them! talk about value for money :D

close up 2

Arrow stamp from Fiskars, embossed with Tim's Distress Embossing Powder in Shabby Shutters. Love that green. I have no idea if the embossing effect is supposed to look like that, because to be frank, this is the first time I'm using Distress Embossing Powder. Love it anyway. I will be on youtube soon looking for demo videos *grins* Love that green. Did I say that already? LOL!

close up 3

Popped some part of the alpha stickers, i now think i should halve the height of the pop dots, maybe it'll look better. The black alphas on acetate, I've had those since December '06 *grins* If you notice, I am not the 'mix your alphas' kinda girl, unlike Laura, who rocks and mixes her alphas expertly, so to get those on there, well, let's just say I gave myself a pat or two on the back. LOL.

Do you wanna read the journaling? *grins* LOL, It's silly, really. But really, a huge lesson learnt. Here goes :-)

Cute shoes. Achy feet. Sounds familiar?
Please do not ever make the same mistake I did.
I bought those for our San Francisco – Seoul trip in June ’08.
They’re cheap and silky to the touch.
They’re a pleasure to wear on the flight and nowhere else!
They’re too soft that you can feel the pavement beneath you.
Not good, that much I can tell you. Not good.
They’re definitely not made for walking.
Pretty, yes. But nope, not made for walking.

Have you seen HSM 3? I love it. The sounds and steps and energy.. just awesome. Such an upbeat movie, I was practically dancing in/on/with my seat. (ha-ha-ha-ha!!) You don't have to know that I cried too, during the said "upbeat movie"! Hah! They (The Husband and The Girls) laughed at me! How dare! I'm sensitive, so what? I cry when I'm happy, I cry when I'm touched/sad/angry/shaken/(insert other emotions here). So here's me, sticking my tongue out at them :P! :D

I am a woman with a plan today. I have a list and I'm going shopping! See you soon!
