What a weekend!

We drove 5 hours up north to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday. This was after fetching Mr.Husband from the airport, he came in from Milan that morning. I love driving when they're sleeping in the car, it's so peaceful. *grins*

Checked in, and promptly set out again to Cyberjaya for the Energizer Night Race 2010. Mr.Husband was gonna run his first marathon. We took KLIA transit express train, very similar to the one we took in Gold Coast last year.

Of course, no train ride would be deemed complete without some kind of faces.

Finally, we reached the place of event.

Mr. Energizer and Nidhi. She was totally flirting with him. LOL.

Pay no attention to my sausage arms. Love that man.

Love. Do I really need to say anything else? I don't think so.

With Singapore Blade Runner. Did you notice his blade before reading this sentence? He's such an inspiration.

Then we waved him off. At this point, I can't breathe for a while. I was proud and scared at the same time.

The Porta Pumper reminds me of colorful beach huts. I'm random like that.

Then we hitched a ride on the buggy from a kind-hearted man. Thank you Mister, you saved me a blister or two. It was at least 95° and in that kind of heat the half a mile walk seemed crazy. This was after walking that length in that heat twice. I refused to do it again with the kids.

We had dinner at the clubhouse, then the kids entertained themselves at the Energizer booth while waiting for daddy to finish his 42km. Approx - 26.097 miles. It was not very comfortable. They didn't have a designated area for supporters. We were left fending for ourselves against the mozzies and spiders! Yikes!

And he made it. 4hrs 23.30.60 ~ 19th placing out of 122 in his age group. So proud of my Mr. Husband. So-damn-proud.

I know, I know.. I am gushing over my own husband. I know it's boring, but I can't help it. LOL. :) And I'm recording the marathon from my perspective because it seems he's taking forever to set up his own blog, maybe when he sees that I missed a lot of interesting stuff, he'll be nudged into the right direction. I have been telling him, it doesn't matter if no one reads your blog.. I will! And get what you remember on paper before you forget. Paper, doc.files.. whatever! Just get it somewhere :)

Scrappy news! I still have no kit, yet. I'm so sorry if you're here expecting a reveal. I have nothing to reveal yet. I'll be back soon with a layout!

Are you still here? Thank you for reading. *hugs*

Congrats Jen! I will be emailing you shortly! Okay, now I can go back to nail-biting. LOL. Kidding. I am nervously awaiting for my Studio Calico box to get here. I hope its not lost somewhere. *crossing my fingers*

In the meantime, you will want to take swift action in purchasing our pink slip stamps. Because when they're gone, they're gone for good. I know I will be wanting them all!

Vacation photos are still in the camera, so here's a layout to share :) Something I did for Scarlet Lime for their February gallery.

Giveaway : Sketchbook by Kelly Purkey

Reporting live from Hard Rock Hotel, Penang. I wish I have photos to share, but of course I didn't bring the camera cable along. Heck, I even left my makeup bag which contains my sunblock at home! Can you believe that? You better. I did just that.

This place is amazing. AMAZING. Good vibes all around. We so love it here and are already talking about coming back! I'll share photos soon when we get home, but for now, here's a giveaway you don't wanna miss. (If you're reading this from my facebook feed, please hop on to the blog to participate, a'ight?)

Sketchbook is a 12 day class filled with fresh sketches, easy instructions, beautiful examples, and lots of fun. Beginning on March 29th to April 9th, a PDF will be delivered to your inbox each morning so you can work at your own pace. By the end of the class, you'll have a complete sketchbook of 12 sketches and over 30 example layouts. For each of the sketches you'll be receiving an example layout from Kelly Purkey, along with one or more example from a member of the incredible Studio Calico design team. All of the examples are brand new layouts, exclusive to this class... you won't see them anywhere else! Sketchbook will also include a private message board for questions and sharing ideas, as well as two scheduled chats - all on the awesome Studio Calico website.

How do you win an entry to this awesome online class? Easy peasy lemon squeezy as my girls would say, just leave me a comment on this post telling me - who is your #1 favorite American Idol contestant amongst the top 12? Simple, yes? What are you waiting for :)

Edited to add : Don't worry if you're not an Idol fan, I still love you. Just leave me a comment here for the giveaway, a'ight? ;)

Giveaway will remain open until I get home on the 18th. I will close the comment then, so as long as you're able to comment here, you're eligible for the giveaway.

I'm off to bed, 11pm over here. Tomorrow is another day to feel the sand between my toes, to dance by the pool, to order another tall glass of the chocolate & peanut butter milkshake *grins* oh so sinfully YUM!

I love you, okay? Okay. I'll see you soon.

Dear Martha Stewart

I wanna marry you. Okay. That sounds wrong. I wanna marry your butterfly punches. I'm only half kidding, you know that, right? LOL. Maybe the 100°F and 55% humidity is finally getting to me, but really, Martha has the most beautiful punches out there. Whoever designed those darlings, they better get that fat bonus they so deserve!

be loved
Simple ~ glue and paper. Quiet. Calm, it feels to me.
