Like a perfect melody

That sums it up. On The Easel and I = we make beautiful music. Or at least layouts that I absolutely love. I'm here to share some of the magic with you. How April & Co at the SC Headquarters manage to outdo themselves month after month, that is beyond me.

It was a mad dash to the reveal again, but I don't mind. You wouldn't too when you see the awesome stuff inside the kits. :)

12 years - you are still the one I love to annoy.

This layout sums us up perfectly and is currently one of my favorite. I'm thinking of framing this. What do you think? The polka dot stamp = awesome. Just a heads up, you might be seeing the polka dotties a lot more on this blog.

I stamped with and the dots to 'pop' them off the page slightly more than what the would.

My tiny attacher was used extensively here. I love that thing. I used my cuttlebug to cut that paper doily using one of steel dies from SpellBinders.

and just like that

I took the journaling on this one from this blog post. :) Must do this more often, eh? Cuts my scrapping time in half!

Then I misted the hell out of the white cardstock and went to town. Love my yellows as you can see. I have Sunflower, Lemon and Buttermilk on there.

And I have to share that, this punch = value for money. You buy one punch and get three different sizes and shapes of butterflies AND a butterfly chain. not to mention the little flowers will make great confetti. I used the punch on every single layout. Scroll up if you don't believe me. LOL.

My favorite part of this layout - beside the journaling and photo are those little red, layered hydrangea. I think they're so sweet!

And before I go. . .

so shop away, friends! And don't forget is available at TwoPeas already! Get yours!

So, about the run. . .

um, to make long story short, I sucked. LOL. What else can I say? I had tons of fun though. A super sweet Kash stuck with me for the whole 10k and I think I would never have finished it if not for her.

Nidhi + Mommy. This is the only time I'll be able to get 'on stage' - while it's still dark and no one is around. LOL.

Mr Husband and his 'brother' :) Both clocked under 1:54 for the half marathon.

Kash + I. She suffered the 10k with me, following my pace even though she can 'fly' and leave me behind. Thank you Kak Kash. fyi : Kash did 84k during the Sundown Marathon last May. She's my hero.

So, will I still run even though I suck? uh.. but of course! LOL. Next one - 5k Pink Ribbon Run 2010, October 2nd. :)

Eid ul-Fitr

*photos overload*

DSC_0638(edit1)

My family on Eid ul-Fitr. Beautiful, if I may say so. Thank you Azhar for the photo :) We spent the day with family and dearest friends. Simple, quiet, precious. Just the way I like it. Photos below are from my camera, unedited. As much as I love perfect photos - at the end of the day, the moments captured are much more important than exposures, shutter speed and f-stops :) *some people might wanna throw stones at me right now* LOL.

You bet I have more photos, but I'll spare you for now. I might be back if I think people actually love looking at these non-scrapping related photos. LOL.

I discovered something on the scrapping-front too. I now know that I scrap very well when I'm not supposed to scrap. *grins* Like when I'm supposed to be vacuuming the living room or clean the kitchen floor, y'know? LOL.

Do you have any idea that you can already get your hands on Mister Huey ? I'm waiting for my box from the lovely April, but you can order yours from TwoPeas!
They're flying off the shelves
or so to speak, so I suggest you get yours FAST! :) I'm just glad I had the distractions of Eid and the 10k run. They made the waiting of the said box April is sending me somewhat bearable. :)

I gave up

trying to write a normal post. Like in paragraphs, you know? I've been starting and deleting drafts for half a day. I figured I'd just post my bullet points if I ever gonna get this post done! :D
  • I watched "Grown Ups" earlier today. My tummy is still all twisted from too much laughing.
  • I love Adam Sandler. Have I told you I bawled my eyes out watching "Click"? No? Well, yes, I did.
  • My Studio Calico kit is finally here, two days after the reveal. I scrapped 3 layouts in 16hours and am now in love with every single one of them despite not having more time to work on them. Maybe I work better under pressure?
  • No, I don't have any plan for any kit coming my way, despite knowing what is coming my way, way earlier. I'm a touchy-feely then fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kinda girl.
  • I have not been running. Nada. Nothing. Zero. Despite having a 10k for this coming 12th Sept. I have no one to blame but myself. Plain laziness. Pray for me, will you?
  • Dinner is settled, courtesy of McDonald's. Please don't tell me anything bad about McD. I know them all already.
  • I plan to play in my scraproom tonight, because dinner is settled. See, this is why I love McD.
  • And oh, I watched "Grown Ups" alone. So proud of myself. Heh. I have a feeling that this is going to be a habit.

Mostly Documentary, some Anthology, some Studio Calico Rub Ons which is one of the best around the industry in my opinion *and not because i work for them*, and lots of mist. You still have time to shop to combine shipping with your kit!

Or you can also shop for Studio Calico at :) In fact, you can still get some of the pink slipped stamps at
TwoPeas. I know someone who would squeal with delight when she sees the

I'll be back soon with my Back40 layouts! *The kit is still available in the shop, you don't wanna miss it. Just sayin' :)
