Just don't lick the tinfoil. . .

It has been raining for 36 hours *or more, or less, only slightly* now. The weather is so gloomy I'm beginning to look out for Edward and Bella and Jacob and *you get the idea*. Not complaining at all, I love the rain, as long as I don't have to go out in it, and as long as I still have clean clothes to put on. LOL.

As I said, don't lick the tinfoil. Just don't. Ask me how I know.

Gifts from a friend. Unexpected. A surprise. Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you C23.

Watched this. My mind is still spinning. Which is why I'd rather watch silly movies. I hate this 'thinking' part of 'deep' movies.

The milky 'river' ~ view from 10th floor. I'm not fond of that kind of water. I'm kinda scared of them, Ania knows that for sure. LOL.

Marshmallows in my mocha. :))

So there. . . I completed January for Project 365. Not that hard I must say. I think being kinder to myself helped. Helped a whole lot. I love this being kind to oneself stuff... making a conscious effort to forgive and tell yourself it's okay.

Some Candy Shoppe layouts . . .

Lots of misting here. That green~ish cardstock was originally white. So as you can imagine, I misted my heart out for this one. My beloved 3 in 1 butterfly punch and tiny attacher, in action.

No misting here! *gasp* A very clean layout. LOL. I took that photos of the original photo using Hipstamatic. *Hipstamatic should pay me for the advertisements, eh? LOL*

What have you been up to? :) I'll see you soon, yes? *hugs*

Randomness . . . (and blog hop winner)

  • I am craving for crabcakes. What's with this? I have not eaten a single piece of crabcake my entire life and now I cannot stop thinking about it. Recipe, anyone? Tried and tested and idiotproof please.
  • Where is far far away and how do I get there?
  • I am contemplating getting the whole set of these fabulous ink pads. I already have Lemon Drops, Malted Milk and Cough Syrup *and I love them to death*. I have Chewing Gum, Stick Candy and Brown Sugar on their way to me. Hah! A few more.. what harm can they do? Eh? Might as well!
  • I am exceptionally cranky today. *sigh* Need to suck it up, ASAP!
  • I am getting this.. I'm so excited! They will be in the Studio Calico shop come January 27th!

Some Project 365 update. . .

Flavor of the month. OMG. My kids are crazy. We went through a few boxes of this thing already and it's not even the end of the month. If you look closer, you can see two tins of Cadbury in the background and one tin of girl guide cookies. :) *yes, I let them have that kind of sugar*

Nidhi - tantrum. Need I say more?

Neha - at the field while daddy was trying to get the kite up in the air. We spent three hours there. And no, didn't get the kite up. Must be something wrong with the kite. *yeahhhhhh right!*

My laundry, under the sun. Mr Husband did this particular load. :) Of course I'm still the one doing the sorting and folding, but hey.. I take what I can get.

Dinner? Supper? Something like that. I didn't eat thinking I could just skip the meal. Uh, No. Big mistake. I cannot sleep on empty stomach. Those are toasted tuna sandwich, and coffee. That book? So good. Finishing it soon.

In the process of simplifying and organizing. Someday, I will show you what I have. Very little in the grand scheme of things. I like it that way. I get overwhelmed easily. Very easily.

Bread. Soft Grain - mine. High Fibre White - kids. Wholegrain - Mr.Husband. :)

Studio Calico Blog Hop for Winter CHA 2011 *closed for commenting*

Welcome to my blog everyone!!

Most of you will be my regular readers and some will come from Nicole's blog, following the hopping trail. Either way, I'm happy to have you here :) If you came here direct, you may want to start at the Studio Calico Blog and keep hopping from there! Don't miss anyone because each DT member is giving away their favorite stuff from the new release!

To.Get.Her

To.Get.Her
He does a lot of stuff to get her. They do stuff together, for him to get her (am I confusing you). She is growing up and while it's not always easy, I'm glad she is who she is now. She is our young lady and we're very proud of her. She looks like 16 here, but no, she is only on her way to 11.

I adore Studio Calico rub ons. They go on like butter! Seriously. I rubbed those using my fingers! My blunt, short and stubby fingers. Go figure. And the fact that they're releasing butterflies this time doesn't hurt either :)

See those white specks? Oh Mister Huey Calico White, how I adore thee!

close up 2

The alpha rub ons. oh my. . the distressed look is perfect. I now want to use them on every layout! The title looks crooked? *Sorry* I need to get my eyes checked. Eyeballing is hard nowadays.

You guessed it! :) My favorite items from this release are the rub ons! I'm giving away three packs (butterflies, phrases and alphabets - just like those I used on this layout) of rub ons to one very lucky person.

How? Just leave me a comment here! Say Hi! Say Hey! Say I Love You, or even tell me a silly joke. I'm always up for a few chuckles. :)

I will try and close the comments on 12 am EST, Wednesday, Jan 26th. As long as you can comment and make me smile. . . you're in baby! :)

Your next destination - Stephanie Howell. Have fun hopping!

Then we said forever. . .

I just got my Who's Who yesterday evening! That was like, one month late. Crazy! But I know some other girls from Singapore are still waiting for their precious brown box, so I'm very very grateful mine is here and not lost somewhere in transit.

The kit is oh so fabulous it is now sold out! I adore every little bit. . every piece of patterned paper, every little thing. . they're just perfect. Of course I was having withdrawals from having to wait for my box that long. . .

so I skipped gym and came home straight after sending my girls to school and scrapped! The skipping gym part is not very hard, actually . . . LOL. My knee is still sore. Why you ask? I kissed the ground at MacRitchie Reservoir when I was there on Monday. No surprise? :))

Then we said forever. .

I am loving yellow lately. Lots of yellow. Makes me happy. I want to paint my living room yellow. That resist paper from Pink Paislee is oh so gorgeous and FUN!

Then we said forever, now we say Bring it On! :) I love this layout so so much. That was us on our wedding day. I love that crazy boy so much it hurts. I am so glad we're together, I'm so glad he's strong enough for my stubborn character. :))

xoxo

Mushroom. The trail was muddy and slippery and damp and that was why I fell down. I tore my favorite pair of tights too. Booohooo!!

On location of a tv commercial. Had a fun morning shooting. Nerve-wrecking, but great experience. I just love this setting. The script, the 'avatar' drinks they served us. LOL.

Yes, I took this photo today. Didn't wanna scrap the original version, so I used my phone and took a black and white version using the Hipstamatic App.

Once a Scorpio

forever a Scorpio. I don't care if the stars are no longer aligned. Hah. What about you? If you don't know what I'm talking about *which is unlikely - this thing is all over Facebook*, check this out.

Horoscope Hang-Up: Earth Rotation Changes Zodiac Signs

I mean, really? I think Scorpio is me though. So no, I am not changing, no matter what they say.

oh oh oh! Have you seen this! The entire CHA Winter 2011 Release from Studio Calico! *sigh* I am lovin' so many things I don't know where to start! I can barely wait until my brown box gets here. The key word is barely.

I suggest you put the kettle on right this moment, get your cuppa ready and just scroll through the goodness. BlueGrass, Lemonade, Clover, Bonny Blue - come to mama. LOL.

Once again, Studio Calico has done it. How? I have no idea. I just know that so many of you are gonna love the CHA Winter 2011 Release.

One layout of baby girl. . . oh how much I miss her being this young!

you make me smile

And a Project 365 update. *sorry for this long post, but I figured I might as well! LOL* Are you still here?

Nidhi with her pressie from my best friend. That particular best friend, spoils my children. And me. And we love her to death and think of her everyday. Everyday! *you can see some of my scraproom here, yes, i only have one cropper-hopper full of papers - the other one has cardstock inside it.*

French toast for dinner.

My gold stitching needles arrived in the mail. I usually buy 100 at a time. They're so silky and so different from normal needles. They're a luxury I hope to always be able to afford.

14/365

14/365
I saw this lorry on the way back from the gym and thought - wow, those beer crates will be so useful for storage for, y'know, stuff. Then I remembered that I am trying to reduce stuff in my house and had to let the idea go. *took this photo at the red light, fyi*

15/365

15/365
I made laksa for the first time. I cheated. I bought the pre-made paste, but still pretty damn good if I may say so. I used low fat milk instead of coconut milk so I don't feel too guilty. LOL.

Now half of January is gone. Time flies? That is an understatement. I'm gonna hop into the shower and then hop back here to visit you guys! :) See you!

Here I am, trying again. . .

in 2008, I tried doing Project 365, only to last somewhere until April. I then stayed away from any kind of a-photo-a-day commitment, was too scared of the frustration if/when I forget to take photo for a day or two and then lost interest altogether.

This year, I'm trying again. I hope to complete this time. I hope it's easier to complete because I have lowered my expectations and I am far kinder to myself this time around. And I'm using iPhone, so it really is no stress.

Beyond that, I have no plans. Parisian Anthology Portfolio Album Refill looks good! I managed to grab one when Studio Calico has them in stock a few days ago! TwoPeas has them but if you want them, you must be fast! These are selling like hotcakes!

This is what they look like :)

So what do you think? I think they're perfect, but I must hunt down more! Here are my photos. 1 - 10 :)

Nidhi, enjoying her fishball noodle soup :)

Pay no attention to the messy table :) and oh.. she loves that hawaiian shorts! LOL.

First day of school for the year! Yahooooooooo!! I finally have some alone time! :P 6 weeks is pretty long for a school holiday.

5/365

5/365
Went for a walk at MacRitchie Reservoir. I lost my way. If you know me, you won't be surprised. I came out around 3km from the place I started, where Mr.Husband was waiting *he ran, so he was faster*. I refuse to walk another step and had to call him to pick me up. Thank God I brought my phone along! This was my view almost all the way.

6/365

6/365
Gym time. *because I don't wanna go to the jungle again. Gym is much safer for me*

7/365

7/365
Something new! I was one of the 'extras' in a local comedy drama production. LOL. It was fun! This was where we filmed. I love that old shop. Reminds me of my childhood! :)

Black pepper beef. Lunch.

Ironing day. I hate ironing, btw.

10/365

Prettiness from Sweet Vintage. I used them on a layout :)

I have a feeling that if I complete this project, you're gonna read about many more of my adventures or the lack of it. LOL.

I'll come back soon with a layout!
