Back home . . .

and missing my Hard Rock Hotel Penang's swimming pool. Not that I swim. Ha!
  • I love that you guys love that pool shot. I love it too! :)
  • I promised my friends over at Studio Calico I would post my Singin' In The Rain pages as soon as I get home. Didn't get to it until now. So sorry.
  • I hate laundry. Especially after a vacation. Especially.
  • Lots of photos here, so a little less ramblings, eh? :)
  • I used Singin' in The Rain, Moses Supposes and Tap Dance. They're all sold out now, but you still can get yourself Happy Refrain. I'm surprised it lasted this long, actually. A lot of the DT girls love that add on!
  • Just a heads up - the ZING is back in the shop *they were wiped clean the other day*! I ordered a couple for myself!

My Neha. :) she's growing, fast.
I used chewing gum, lemon drops, soap powder and stick candy for the stamping, and also Epiphany 14mm round tool to make my own epoxy circles.

Mr.Husband, the one I lean on every single day.

This one makes me smile. My feisty girl. Don't mess with her. Just don't. LOL.
I changed the color of the Brown Sugar thickers by rubbing them with Timber Brown Stazon.

The stitching was done by hand. I drew the squiggly line with a pencil, pierced the cardstock and stitched. 2 ply DMC.

Some misting - I used Mister Huey Sunshine and Maya Mist Bubblegum.
  • The laundry is almost done, we're settling back into routine and I couldn't be happier. Hope to sneak some time away to visit all of you! :) ♥ ♥ ♥

I love you so much I'm blogging from the swimming pool!

  • The sun has set, the noisy kids *including mine* have already left the pool, the pool bar is closed - no more chocolate and peanut butter milkshake for me *maybe that's a good thing* - it's just so peaceful now.
Hard Rock Hotel - pool
  • I set the camera on one of the chair. No tripod - are you kidding me? Add more weight to my 'i-don't-know-how-to-travel-with-less-than-8tonnes-luggage'? No. ThankYouVeryMuch.
  • I have sneaks to share.. but before that, I wanna show you this picture below ↓
  • Confession - I had to hold my pee when I saw her kissing that snake. Try holding your pee and taking a picture and balancing your handbag on one shoulder. Yeah. what a feeling. LOL.
  • I have one layout last month featuring this very snake. Yes, my children grew up with that snake. Or at least it's family members. I was told the old snake died a few years ago. I don't know why, but this one is new. At least not the one Neha first carried when she was 2 yrs old. *Neha is now approaching 11! OMG I'm OLD! and yes.. crazy too it seems. I let my then 2 yrs old carry an albino snake*
  • And I really have sneaks *not snake* for you. . . LOL. No kidding. I used the main kit - Singin' In The Rain, and two add ons - Moses Supposes and Tap Dance.
sneak 1

Jenni Bowlin Studio Dye Ink - Chewing Gum, Stick Candy, Lemon Drop and Soap Powder.
Custom made Epoxy and buttons - Epiphany Craft Shape Studio.
Some stitching - such fun colors, don't you think.

sneak 2

I love that Brown Sugar. Just the perfect brown. Versatile. Love.

sneak 3

More fun stitching.

sneak 4

That herringbone stamp from Tap Dance again. Fast becoming my favorite. It's kinda sneaky too, when I first saw it, I didn't think I would like it as much! Ha!

And besides that. . . I plan to get... *hmm, this is my favorite part! LOL*

Punch Revitalizer Set. I need to resurrect some of my punches. Especially those I use a lot!

Diamond Lace Edge Punch. That looks like a fun punch, right?!! I can't wait to get my hands on this lil beauty.

Mustard Zing Opaque. I already have Grapefruit, Aqua and Wave. I heard White Zing is awesome too.

And a brand new, juicy pad of Versamark Watermark!

So what's on your list? Which add on will be making its way home to you? I just wanna get them all, month after month! Crazy, I know!

We're off to dinner then walk a little bit to the night market. Interesting stuff here, I can never get tired of the night market. I'll take a picture to show you! Then maybe to the Hard Rock Cafe for some live band and something else to munch on. *eat eat eat. . . I'm getting fat fat fat*

I'll see you soon! *and promise to think of you when I have my next peanut butter and chocolate milkshake* :P

I should drop by here sometime, eh?

seeing that this is my blog and all? LOL. I'm so sorry!!
  • Everyday I tell myself - you must blog today! And each day, I'll remember to blog at 9pm. 9pm is not for blogging, if Mr.Husband is not around. I would have been up at 5.15am that day and by 9.. well, I'm done. And I can't really form a sentence anyway. I know it's just a waste of time even 'trying' to blog. So I go to bed.
  • Despite having not enough hours in the day, I still have a buttload of things in my 'to-try-someday' list. I never learn. I repeat, I never learn.
  • We drove up to Malacca sometime last week. I have tons of photos, I thought of sharing a couple here. We'll see.

My first ever quilted pillow! I followed tutorial from Oh, Fransson! and wing it some.

73/365

73/365
Rango. Then I had a nightmare of being Rango when I sleep! Goodness. It was tiring being chased all around town.

74/365

74/365
Happy Meal. It has been a while since the girls asked for Happy Meals! LOL.

75/365

75/365
Almost home. I love being away, travelling, but I love being home more. :)

76/365

76/365
Walking back from the tuition centre. Let me say again, I love love love our walks.

77/365

77/365
Not my kind of movie. Too much explosion, too much tears.

78/365

78/365
Now this one.. ! LOL! I think I laughed the loudest in the cinema. HaHaHaHa!! Predictable, yes.. but funny!

79/365

79/365
Domino's Pizza. First time ordering from them. Verdict - too cheesy. The kids don't like it too. Those in Singapore, have you tried them? What's your fav? Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. *but in my opinion, when your pepperoni pizza sucks.. there really isn't much hope with the rest! Hah!*

The beach. 8.04am.

81/365

My babies sharing a bowl of Ice Kacang. They like theirs plain - without the kacang (red beans), so it's basically just shaved ice and multi-colored syrup. :))

One layout. Was done a while ago, though :)

I love the softly misted background here. The lacey paper is actually deep red in color. I flipped it over and misted the back. :)

I'm knee deep in fun right now, playing with my Studio Calico's Singin' In The Rain *how adorable is that name!?? What are you up to? Share! I've missed you. I'm gonna have to run now to fetch the girls home, but I'll be back to check your blogs out! Yay!!

xoxo

The story of nothing much. . .

  • I started shuffling my feet again. I'm sure by now you're sick of reading about this business of starting and restarting of feet shuffling.
  • It's painful. Every step I take, my lungs are screaming blue murder inside. That should teach me a lesson not to abandon working out. No matter how little, I must work out. Even if that means just climbing the steps to my 10th floor apartment.
  • Please remind of the two points above should I decide to be friendly with my bed and start taking afternoon naps instead of sweating out again, yeah? :P
  • The other day, I was lying on the sofa at my parents'. . talking to my dad about his granddaughters. I was saying their Maths are SO HARD, even I can't do it sometimes most of the time all the time, actually. And he blurted out - I hate maths! I was like - OMG! Now I know why I hate maths! I got that from you! But I also know why I'm good with composition, I got that from you as well! And now Neha is like me! Like you, Papa! LOL. He just chuckled. I love my dad. He's the best sportswriter in Asia my heart! He still writes! ♥ ♥ ♥
  • At any given day, at any given time, I prefer Spongebob Squarepants rather than Justin Bieber. For now. Ask me again when he's all grown up like Zac Efron/Shemar Moore/Eddie Cahill/ Wentworth Miller *you get the idea*.
Love

Studio Calico goodness! :)
Wood Veneer frames - I'm surprised how easy they take the Mister Huey Dark Calico but still retain some of that 'grain' ☺

close up 1

I actually made this layout based on a sketch off Tina's layout. Love her style :)

close up 2

See that teal hearts stamped all over? That's kinda my favorite thing to do right now. I just wanna stamp and stamp and stamp my own background.

And those doilies! Sweet Vintage goodness. Aren't they just gorgeous?

My treasure box. I guard this box with my life. Kidding. My kids would love to get their hands on this box, but, no.. .not so easy. If it's up to them, 6 boxes of pencils will only last two weeks the most. LOL. Lots of stuff inside, okay. Blue tac, batteries, my sweet vintage doilies, glue tape/ATG Gun refills and what nots. :)

65/365

66/365
This is so good! I had this at Summer Frost. *they should update their blog already, eh?* Shaved milk ice-cream, strawberry puree and fresh strawberries. This is so good! have I said that already? ☺

66/365

67/365
Went out with a sweet girlfriend. Hot and spicy fish baked rice for me and Chicken baked rice for her. Then we had free ice-cream coz they had some kind of promotion going on. We never say no to free ice-cream. LOL. Was a good great day.

67/365

68/365
Just call me FoodFace already. LOL. Fattening Indian flat bread again, this time with egg and onions inside. Eaten with fish curry for breakfast. Was on a date with my Mr. Husband. I never say no to Indian food. Um.. I never say no to food *except Japanese*, actually. Hahaha!

68/365

69/365
Where I drop Mr.Husband off for work every time :) I love this place and my clean windscreen .

The beach. 7.45am.

70/365

71/365
My firstborn. If only she knows how much I love her. . .

71/365

72/365
Flowers at the park. Forgive the shaky photo. My hands won't stay still. Took this on my way back from my Day 3, Week 1 of C25K.
  • Who else is doing Project 365? Leave me a comment, link me up. I would love to see your photos!
  • I'm still fighting my sewing machine - will show progress soon! So far, I have 9 blocks done :) Quite an accomplishment, especially since I have not sewn over my fingers yet! My mom did that once and it was terrible. I really, really do not wanna sew over my fingers. *fingers crossed*
  • I love you all. ♥ ♥ ♥
  • It took me only four hours to finish this post. Yay! ✓

I'm extremely loyal, or stupid. . .

you decide.
  • I watch a lot of re-runs. Of everything. *how else can I motivate myself to iron that seven thousand pairs of school uniforms*? Ironing = TV time. Stitching = TV time. And every single time, I root for the same person/contestant/party/tribe/character. . even though I already know the outcome. Even though I know they're not gonna win.
  • I've been having this pain on the left side of my tummy for a few days now. It's not going away to the point that I am getting used to it. Not good. Right? No one should get used to pain.
  • I am craving for candy floss. Since yesterday. I tried making do with some candy corn. No go. Stupid craving. Why can't I crave for some healthy food?
  • No layouts today. Coming soon though :)
  • It's kinda hard to believe we're well into March already, eh? *sigh*
  • All your comments on my last post, brought smiles to my face. Thank you.
Project 365

53/365

53/365
I watched this alone. SO FUNNY. I love chick flicks, what can I say. This is the kind of movie I go to watch alone. Chick flicks = me time. LOL. And oh, Ashton Kutcher is yummy.

54/365

54/365
Sardine murtabak. It's *ummm... how do I explain this* Indian flat bread, but filled with sardine and spices, thus making it not so flat now. Fattening. I know. But . . but. . but. .

55/365

55/365
Making my 'sambal'. Chillies and roasted shrimp paste. The shrimp paste, stinks to high heaven. You can say it's an acquired taste.

56/365

56/365
Watched this with Mr Husband. He cried. I did not. And I'm very proud of that fact. :P

57/365

57/365
Wow! We really watch a lot of movies! Or rather I watch a lot of movies! LOL. I'm more fascinated with Dianna Agron's character's camera collection.

58/365

58/365
Can you see the swimmers? Mr Husband did his first swim event. Of course we were there! :)) My heart worked triple overtime the whole time he was in the water though.
59/365

59/365
I asked 'where can I get red velvet cupcakes in Singapore?' on facebook. Believe me, it's kinda hard to get them here. If you have easy access to RV cuppies, count your lucky stars. One kind hearted soul baked this for me! Delish! Love love love, maybe I will have to try and bake this myself.

60/365

60/365
Spanking new! I love my new vacuum cleaner. The old one died on me after 10 years. Good 10 years we had but I'm ready for a new love affair with Mr. Black.
61/365

61/365
Banana fritters. Again, unhealthy. I try not to pass through the shop that sells them. That way, I won't be tempted to buy. Haha!

62/365

62/365
He managed to change the lightbulb! Without hurting himself or burning the house down. yay! The same can't be said if I'm the one doing it. I'm absolutely, the accident prone kinda girl.

63/365

61/365
o.m.g. another movie. you see, if not because of these daily photos, I won't realize this. I love movie dates with Mr Husband and won't change it for anything else. :)) Emily Blunt is totally gorgeous, btw.
