Don't give up on me

  • mothering is hard. really. I'm sure you know that.
  • but being my daughter is harder, really. I promise you.
  • I expect too much.
  • I discipline.
  • but I also know if there is one thing I do not want her to do - is to repeat my mistakes. *I have a lot of them, i promise you that too*
  • And the one thing that I want her to do . . .
don't give up on me

close up

  • don't give up on me.
  • even after almost 11 years, I'm still learning to be a mother. Just a mother.
  • don't give up on me.

How heartfelt. I want to say the same thing to my DD too. She feels the hard discipline which I inflict on her but I feel its necessary cos I want her NOT to repeat the mistakes I made. :) I need a layout like this too. Thanks for sharing.

This is seriously beautiful!!! WOW. The simple yet evocative design really made me sit up and take notice. I know how you feel- when they "grow up" the kids don't remember the discipline- they remember the Mom who cared. :)

Good Lord. I can so relate to your post. Especially today. Seriously... I could copy & paste your exact words & they would feel like my own. All will work out & the discipline is for the best. So many kids these days don't get it because their parents are too busy to deal with it. Your girls are loved & they know it. You're a GREAT mom!

Big hugs...

aww Sasha. I know how you feel! But your daughters love you! They always will. I know it is hard, I am only in the beginning years of motherhood and it is hard! But all you can do is your best. And you are doing a wonderful job my friend! *hugs!!*

Very touching layout. It's so true! We're all still working at being mothers! It's the hardest but most rewarding job ever!

I. so. hear. you.

It's hard, terrifying, rewarding, frustrating, and more fun than anything else in this world. Thankfully we have each other. If we humble ourselves enough to be honest about the journey there's much support and love along the way for both mother and daughter. Sweet, and lovely layout Sasha. Thanks for your honesty. I'm sure your kiddo will thank you for it too someday.

Mothering is HARD, you can say that again! Having one of those days, 11 year old daughter is cranky, 14 year old son is being mouthy, just took an hour to get the 3 year old to nap and hubby is in DC on business...I was going to go and make a layout but I think I might just take a nap myself...gotta love them though, they are my world, LOVE your layout, so simple yet bold, just beautiful!

CK Chai said...

Sasha, you are being so humble. I believe your daughter will learn that you are a great mother one day and shall never "give up" on you...
