I can't breathe . . .

  • remember this layout?
close up 1

Go

  • and this photo?
  • I can't breathe easy whenever he's running a race. It never gets any easier. Be it 10, 21, 42 or 100km. I still have my heart in my mouth until I see him cross the finish line.
  • And here we go again. TNF 1ookm solo, flagging off at 1am this coming Saturday Oct 15th.
  • Yes, 1am.
  • Yes, I'll be there. Always have been, always will be.
  • Yes, he's crazy, but he also knows that our love and prayers and support will be with him. He knows I trust him to know when to stop, when to push on and when to give up. Oy, yes, I told him giving up is okay. There will always be another race.
  • No, I don't have any idea what the hell was he thinking when he signed up for this. :)
  • Think of me will you? Send some virtual hugs and kisses to get me thru the race? Heeeheee!!
Project 365

Dinner. Simple, humble homecooked dinner. We finished everything - which is rare! LOL!

279/365

279/365
Ham and cheese bites - again. In my house, when something gets requested like this one, means the recipe is a success and I don't say no to success. When Neha asked for more, I obliged ~ even though mine looked different from the original recipe.

280/365

280/365
Coconut buns - this was so good especially when they were fresh out of the oven.

281/365

281/365
a few more days . . .

282/365

282/365
Starbursts. I-need-to-stop-popping-those-into-my-mouth! Can you touch your nose with your tongue? :P

283/365

283/365
Roasted Lemon Garlic Herb shrimp. We had them with couscous. Again - a winner and super easy to make too!

284/365

284/365
Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies. I don't know what went wrong but this didn't turn out like I hoped they would. *grins* The middle part won't set no matter what I do. Oh well, I had fun scooping up whatever I can from the pan. LOL.

  • I'll see you after the race!
xoxo

the food! the shrimp! I want to come and live at your house!
but don't wake me up to go watch any races at 1am. I'll come to the finish line later on in the day though, after I finish the rest of the coconut buns for breakfast lol.
You're a good wife ;-)
xoxo

Yes, lots of virtual hugs and kisses for you for the race! Tee hee. :-p

And I LOVE that you post so many photos of food. Oh my yum! :-D You actually motivate and encourage me to cook and bake more. I mean, I used to A LOT before Hattie arrived, but now i don't have as much time. :-p BUT... I have been baking and cooking way more lately. Hooray!

And I have to try that shrimp! But with quinoa instead of couscous because I'm allergic. :-p Looks delicious! :-D

Great page!!! I don't know where I was- it's the first time I see it. I fully understand the sentiment- I have the same feeling whenever my husband went off on his motorcycle- till he sold it- thank goodness. Beautiful page and the food THE FOOD!!!!!! I may have to try the buns recipe- those look a.ma.zing! Plus- WOW on the background for that photo of you guys hugging! That's got to be the most exciting architecture I've seen in a long time- warrants a visit I say.

Hugs to you sweet Sasha! Now, the one question I have...is your husband insane?! Who would ever be tempted to run that far?!!!!!! :) NOT ME!

My mouth is always watering when reading your blog. We call those prawns and I also love them but don't cook them at home that much - don't really know the best way! Love your simple layout - I'm definitely progressing towards the less cluttered, at this stage anyway...

Wow! good luck to your hubby on his run! LOVE the yummy food pics!

Sasha - I loooove all of your food photos. Reminds me how fantastic the food was in Singapore when I went there.probably THE best place to eat great food!

Michelle said...

I so need to visit you and get a taste of your cooking!! :)

I'll be thinking of you and your Mr., Sasha, big hugs now to save for later : ) I've told you before how astounded I am that he's able to do that. It's super human in my book. Again, your food... yumm-o. I don't like red velvet cake though so it probably didn't turn out cause red velvet is incapable of turning out right, lol, we can go with that, right? Not your fault, no way! Ha. I think the Starburst wrappers are different in Singapore vs. USA (unless they've recently changed). Wonder why that is? Well, hang in there, Sweets! And thanks for your virtual hugs on my blog : )

...i can only imagine the self discipline and determination it takes to accomplish such a race...but as you said, knowing the living support he carries along with him will help him get through it with success! You, Sasha, are one exceptional lady! Good luck with the race and remember to breathe!

Love and hugs to you. Tell DH we wish him well. What a gorgeous backdrop he had to run with in the photo you posted, wow. We love shrimp too. Not a candy person though, so you may have all the Starbursts :) and no I cannot touch my nose with my tongue but I have one dd who can. Take care girl!
