The next time . . .

  • Edited to add - I'm moderating the comments for now. Sorry I have to do this. Spammers are driving me crazy. I had to delete 601 spam these last few days and I still have more to go through.
  • The next time I say something about about making puff pastry from scratch, please ask me to go lie down on the couch until the notion passes. Please.
  • And oh, the meltdown in the last post - did i freak you out? I hope not. Just keepin' it real around here. Thank you for understanding where I came from. *hugs*
  • I've been meaning to share my 365 pictures - I will soon, I hope. I need to upload them to my flickr. I keep telling myself - I'll do that tomorrow - and I don't - and to be frank, I'm not sorry about it. It's the school holidays over here. Neha is enjoying herself, she's staying with my parents, and I've been busy keeping Nidhi occupied. The usuals - bike rides by the beach, craft time, swims, movies etc etc.
  • I do have something to share though. . .
2012

My cover page for Project Life 2012. I don't know yet how I'm gonna approach this, knowing me, it will be all over the place because I'm easily distracted *have you watched Puss in Boots? the part where he was chasing the lights? - yeah, that's me*. But I also know I'm gonna have so much fun. My Project Life, my way.

I think I wish I'm doing PL this year. Just think of all the funny/not so funny captions on my 365 photos - I think it would be awesome all compiled in an album. Of course I can start doing it right now, but I'm anal like that and want to start in the new year.

If I feel like I have too much time on my hands *like that is ever gonna happen!* - I may do up the photos from 2011! You never know with that crazy girl me.

close up

Close up. This cover page is not needed, really. I just wanted to play and stitch on paper. That little envelope is my favorite part! I bought a booklet of them - tear them off like post-it and fold them yourself kinda booklet. Super cute!

PL - album

PL

with PL Photo Pocket Pages Design F and, when appropriate - 8.5 x 11 American Crafts page protectors.
  • So, who's gonna kick my butt when I slack off next year? Any volunteers? :)
  • And who are with me doing PL2012? *so I can kick your butts as well* LOL.
xoxo

I love that stitching! Something I am rarely brave enough to do! I have been thinking about doing PL, but I just know that I wouldn't be able to keep up, I am trying to do a December Daily this year and having enough trouble with that! lol

Sorry, no kicking from me. Just cheering on and happy pompom-waving. :)
LOVE that cover, tho - it's gorjuss! You're gonna rock this project, too! :D

(And I know what you mean about spammers!! I even had to put in word verification because of them. :( They make things so much less fun and easy! :()

Huuuuugs!

I love that page!! Especially the sewing and the doily! You rocked it!!

I've totally thought about making puff pastry from scratch before, but am glad I decided against it now! :)

I will totally try to kick your but, you know! As long as you kick mine too! ;)

Totally love your title page Sasha! I am not the kicking butt type but I can certainly be an encouraging voice! I am like you and want to start afresh with the new year. I have had to accept that given we are traveling until early January that this just is not going to happen. I may be doing the first lunar year based PL ever.... Just so I can start at the new year!

Spammers are just ridiculous!

Anyway, I think your Project Life cover is amazing! :) And would love to do it myself someday, but like you it will be on my own terms.

Sasha the stitching is brilliant! I love it. How do you come up with these things?
Sorry 'bout the spammers. Not fun.

Oh, that cover is amazing! I am hoping to start this in Jan, then we can both keep each other on the ball.

Me Sasha! Although I am starting now - I think this will actually quench my scrapping thirst without the "pressure" - so kick away girl!

gorgeous stitching as always and I hope this comment finds you well.

Oh Sasha - your cover page is A- MA- ZING!! The stitching is pure heaven. Love it!

Beautiful. The Chevron on the yellow - right up my alley - but nope I won't be joining you or kicking your butt. While I think the result is awesome I think PL is more for non-scrappers to have something rather than nothing. I could never be so disciplined - I like to grab a few photos & go created whenever I feel like it!

I'm doing it. I went digital for 2011 (and I am quite a bit behind due to some issues with my computer breaking earlier this year - fun!) and I'm excited to try the traditional version for 2012.

Your stitching is AMAZING!! You just floor me with your talent my friend! I think it's a great start off to PL. I did it the first year, bought it the second year & it's still in the box. :( Good luck on keeping it up in 2012! I think you'll do fantastic!

This is lovely, Sasha! You're so lucky to have your PL already... I'm still waiting for the core kit I've pre-ordered to arrive at their warehouse! I've never done PL before, so this is new to me and I've no idea if I'll manage to keep it up!

It's perfect!

I think I may join you on the Project Life- I am trying to find an alternative to the binders since they can get pricy. I only started shooting every day in November and I found I really liked it- I think it might be easier for me to try to cut the pages and design them on sunday and just add photos later in the week. Can't do any bootie kicking but maybe an encouraging shout out to ya from time to time- how's that?
Oh before I forget- YES I LOOOVE this page!! WOW on the stitching and the color and how cool is a that little envelope notebook? That sounds AMAZING!
Yikes on the spammers- I've been getting wierdo spam emails and Tweets from all these random women- how did I manage to get on a "single russian girls" list???????

I love your cover ~ your stitching never ceases to impress me.
I don't think I would be up for PL but I'll keep it in the back of my mind to give you a little kick in the butt if you slack off, heehee ;-)
Thanks for your sweet comment the other day. I'm working to post again.
{hugs}

Lovesit. Very pretty, and yellow is gorg :) Re last poat - most Asians I meet give me complexes because their bone structures are obviously waaay thinner than mine. Ahwell. Can't win'em all, and I'm lucky enough to live at a place where I'm not reminded about it every day. In that retrospect that is :p Sorta. Right. Off :)

Love the cover!! I just realized that Jan 1 is actually coming up pretty soon--so I should get on my PL goals!

Just started this too. New for me, still feeling a little scattered about the whole thing. Just keep taking the photos and jotting stuff down, hoping and praying I find a way to make it cohesive. Your title page is divine.
