Three on Thursday

  • This is your *almost* regular ten.on.thursday - in disguise. Let's face it. I'm long winded. I constantly have to edit myself before I say anything - because uhmmmm, we all know, that I'm ridiculously funny, but not everyone 'get' me. Ha! The time is now 11:28pm and I don't think I can finish stringing sentences for ten little bullet points before Friday is here.
  • I'm really in awe of those people who 'talk' for a living. Deejays - tv reporters - sports commentators and the likes. For sure, I can talk, but God knows I may last all of 10 minutes before being suspended for saying something funny but inappropriate. *grins*
  • Sharing with you this pretty sunset we had in Singapore yesterday. Un edited. Un filtered. :)

ILY

  • This is Neha. She's almost 12. She's mine.
  • I wish I can tell you that she's perfect. That she plays/dances for her school team, have lots of practice/training session and still scores straight As for all subjects. That she's always sweet to everyone and never give me any kind of grief. That she does her homework and revision without me reminding her for the 167th time. That she keeps her room spick and span all the time.
  • I'm sorry but I can't. She's just an average girl. She may not score straight As on everything, but I know she's trying hard. She's not always sweet but let's get real, she's mine. I'm not always sweet - so there. She needs reminding for homework, and cleaning of room - but it's okay. I kinda like the nagging part of motherhood. Ha!
  • She helps me around the house. A lot. So thankful for that. She can cook if she's desperate. LOL.
  • Sometimes, I forget that she's almost 12. I had her when I was 21 - that feels like forever ago. *note to self* ~I need to remember that she's just a child
  • I love you, Neha.

  • I used my typewriter for the quote and made some mistake. Not a big deal for me, so I left it there. Woodgrain Alpha Stickers from Studio Calico first collection ever - Home Front. *sigh* I wish I have a buttload of them still. I want to use the pretties on every layout possible!
  • 'Today' Chevron tabbed ATC from Chic Tags. Another product that I want to use on every layout possible. :D

  • 'Look at This' handstamped button from PaperPlay. No longer available but I have some other designs right now that might catch your eyes! :)

PaperPlay ~ July Shop Update

  • It's early in the morning here in Singapore. I've been *sort of* up since 1: 25am since Nidhi is sleeping with me. Came home from school yesterday with a temperature of 39.4℃/103℉. She's miserable, but she'll be okay.
  • I figured since I'm up and she's sleeping, I might as well post a shop update. :) Hope you like the new sets I added to PaperPlay.

Lucky them

  • Sometimes, I need to say that out loud. You know, just a conversation Breaking News. LOL. Nidhi just came in the room and out of the blue, asked me - Can we have a hamster? *WHAT? Where did that come from? She was supposed to be in bed! *The answer is obviously no! Ha! She already knows that and she is still trying to change my mind. My girls, in fact, have been trying to change my mind for the last 7 years maybe. Sorry kids. Not happening.
  • Okay, back to us. Sometimes, I need to say that out loud. You know, just a conversation with myself. I do that a lot - I talk to myself on a daily basis. At least I listen, right? I tell myself that they're lucky. My family is lucky to have me.
  • I'm almost ALWAYS here for them. Sam doesn't even remember his house keys 98% of the time. And I'm almost always at home waiting to unlock the door for him. Oh yes, I roll my eyes, especially when I'm already in bed but I'm there aren't I?
  • I love cutesy stationeries, so my girls are lucky in that area. I willingly bring them to the mall to let them browse and sometime reward them with a little thing or two - even when I actually hate malls. I hate crowded area.
  • The girls are lucky I stay home. I send freshly grilled chicken wings and drumsticks for their class parties. Not store bought limp looking cookies.
  • Sam's lucky I'm willing to wake up at ungodly hours to go and support him in races. Yes, I wake up grumpily, but I wake up!
  • Sam's also lucky because I'm not into branded stuff. Really. I see people spending crazy amount of money on a purse and I cringe. They might have cringed at the price of my camera as well, but I'm still with my Nikon D90 I bought years ago and to each their own.
  • They're lucky I keep my house in fairly in order. I sort and throw away their junks very so often. Yes, they're still a few mountains of unfolded clean laundry on the sofa and dishes in the sink, but everything else is pretty good. Just ignore the dust. If it's up to them - we will all be sleeping on piles of rubbish. Ha! I'm the throw-awayer in this house.
  • Some days, I must admit, I feel like not doing anything at all. So they could see what I have been doing all these while. LOL!
  • I'm rambling randomly and I know it. Sorry. LOL. A layout to share today . . .
Untitled
    • I believe in love at first sight. I believe in happy endings. Sam was love at first sight. Truly. I didn't know who or what he was, but I already love him. ♥ And I believe everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay - it's not the end. :)
    Untitled
    • If there is a cure to stop me from watching too much of the said shows - I don't want to know. I love love love police-criminal-medical drama. LOVE.
    • On the topic of window seat - yeah, don't even go there. I'm getting that window seat no matter what. Especially if we're travelling on a sunset/sunrise flight. On that - my family is lucky I only fight the window seat from them. I stay pretty nice to other passengers. :)
    • And oh - to my children, you can definitely have a hamster or ten. When you're living on your own, away from me. For now, I'd like to spend my free time making pretty things with paper and glue, taking pictures and feeding them to my Instagram and playing games on facebook. Not cleaning hamster poop.
    • I shall end this post before I embarrass myself further? Yes? :) I'll see you soon!

    Reporting live from ProcrastiNation . . .

    • I present you. . the long overdue Project Life update! :)
    • I know, I know. Thank you for the emails and reminders. I'm running for Mayor of ProcrastiNation if you can't already tell.
    • I finally stop forgetting to take photos of my PL spread. It only took me almost 4 months. Ha!

    • Please excuse the glare. Glare is everywhere in Sunny Island Singapore. One of the reasons why I'm almost always with my sunglasses once I step out of the house.
    • Lots about the marathon trip - blogged here. I copied the entire blog post for this few spreads.

    • Sunset. I wanna do an insert with that sunset photo blown up like this one here
    • Look at This handstamped flair button from my little shop. It's sold out right now though. Email me if you're interested anyway. :)

    • A large part of why I'm doing PL = using up stuff I have lying around. I can't stand having stuff lying around, I have to make use of them. PL is good for that. The fact that my girls and Sam love the album, well, that's a bonus! :)
    • Bits and pieces everywhere. Stamping and lots of washi.

    Untitled
    • I included the route map for Sam's marathon in one of the pockets. The run was pretty hard mentally, even for him because it was done in loops. Mind game, I tell you. :) The map is a good reminder that he finished it despite! :)
    • I have a few more to show, maybe next time. Now I have to run *well, drive* and fetch Sam at the airport!

    • A couple of months ago, my friend, Lisa Day invited me to contribute to her class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. So what did I do? Of course I said Yes!! YES!! :)
    • You all know that I love sketches! So this class is awesome, just the jumpstart I needed for my layouts. The sketches that will be provided in this class, can be made 'yours' easily and will be a huge huge help, now and for many years to come I'm sure. I absolutely adore the layouts I made for this class - I hope you will too! Here's a blurb about the class ↓
    Class Description
Lisa Day is back with another round of 28 sketches! This time, in addition to receiving 28 daily
sketches accompanied by layouts from Lisa, you will also receive exclusive layouts and cards
from seven fabulous guest stars! This means that you will receive 28 brand new sketches and 56
exclusive projects to inspire you to create beautiful layouts and cards quickly.
Another exciting new addition is that in addition to the 12" x 12" daily sketch, you will see
the sketch adapted to a double page layout and an 8 1/2" x 11" sketch. All this means MORE
inspiration and MORE ideas of how to make a sketch work for you!
register and read rest of description here

    • So what do you think? I have one class entry to be given away to one of you. Just leave a comment on this post if you're interested. I will do the drawing sometime on 16th of July and will close the comment section before then. So comment away, if you can leave a comment, means you're in. I promise. :)
    • Then, to increase your chances, hop along to these wonderful friends of mine!

    • I'll see you soon!

    Sam and I

    • Sam and I - Almost 13 years of marriage. He's still the one I love to annoy. I've loved this guy since day one, and will love him for a long long time with God's will.
    • Sam and I - I told him that If I die first, and if he has any intention of remarrying - I'll haunt him. I'll probably sit on his shoulders during the day and hang around the bed at night. Haha!
    • I found this ➷ a few days ago while browsing through one of the apps Neha installed on her phone. Made me smile. :)
    Untitled
    • Sam and I - we have a song. I need to get it on paper or so to speak. Maybe someday, my grandchildren will find this layout eh? :) I journaled about our 'first date' and slipped the tag in between the photo and the ATC banner.

    Ten on Thursday

    • I feel like having a huge bowl of Peanut Butter Crunch ice cream. I usually buy one scoop and enjoy that slowly, but today I want a bowl. You know, the huge mixing bowl we use for mixing batter? Yes. That one. I probably won't be able to finish it, but I don't really care. I want it, still! Now what does the above paragraph tell you about the state of my mind right now?
    • You know how I always come here and whine that my children are too loud? Too much bickering? Can't get along for more than 5 minutes at a time? I take that back. LOL. Nidhi is camping at the zoo with her teachers and friends and the house is eerily quiet. No one has anyone to fight with. It's raining, and we are trying so hard not to go to the zoo and pick her up. Haha!! Please remind me of this post when they're both at home and driving me up the wall.
    • If you think we're the over-protective parents. No, we're not. And we're not in denial either. It's just harder to let go of your youngest child. :P I know all about that. My mom still can't let go of my youngest sister, and she's 23 this year. If she asks for the moon, I'm pretty sure my mom would find a way to build a ladder high enough. LOL. Then I would want to borrow that ladder in case my girls ask for it next.
    ♥ ♥ ♥ 2.5 hours break  for dinner :D ♥ ♥ ♥
    • I got my Peanut Butter Crunch! Only a scoop + Monster Cone. LOL. To be frank, I've never eaten more than a scoop of ice cream in one sitting.
    Untitled
    • We managed to talk each other out of going to the zoo/night safari to catch a glimpse of Nidhi. Haha! All three of us, at one point or the other, wanted to go.
    • If you haven't already, please go and watch Madagascar 3 and The Amazing Spiderman. I can't get enough of Marty and Peter Parker. Let me also embarrass myself further by telling you that this is my first Spiderman movie. Ever. Yes. I have nothing to compare it with, and I don't even mind. I got to watch the show with fresh eyes. How old is Andrew Garfield, anyway? Oh! I just googled that. He was born in 1983. Hi Andrew, I'm Sasha ♥
    • I wanna chop my hair off. Badly. I just can't decide how short I wanna go.
    • I realized I haven't blogged it yet, but the shop is updated *has been for a while* with some fresh sets of badges.
    Untitled

    • And finally, like for real. .  FINALLY we can purchase songs and movies via iTunes. I guess Asian market has grown big enough for them? This, my friends, makes me very happy. No more purchasing the whole album when I only like two songs.
