Project Life, For Real

  • Yup. for real this time. I'm always saying I will share my PL in the next post and so on and yadda yadda yadda. Nothing ever happens. I will usually be able to talk myself out of it in about 2 minutes.
  • Truth is, I'm kinda discouraged. I'm behind. I'm unmotivated. I'm mojoless. I'm a lazy bum. I think I found my rhythm. I hope it's here to stay. I also hope you will kick my butt every once in a while. I need that, because this album is not only my favorite, the girls and Sam love flipping through it as well.
  • It's pouring now, you know how easy it is to just save this post as draft and climb into bed and switch on the tv to watch my recorded episodes of NCIS LA? lol :D

  • Some stamping here. I used the PL stamp set from Studio Calico and also the background stamp from Road Show (2nd row, far left). Lots of bits and pieces of leftovers from my Central High Kit. (puffy stars, red *THIS* arrow, mistable arrows)
  • Lots of wood veneers as well. My favorite right now, I feel like sticking them everywhere. In the car, maybe? Will Sam freak out? Ha! I also misted a couple of the plain journaling cards - for fun. I love colors. *as if you can't figure that out already, eh?* :)
  • Chic Tags! I love them and the box they're in never left my table. If you haven't already, you should check them out. One of the best in the industry in my opinion :)
  • How about you? Still Project Life~ing? Share your link in the comment so I can check it out! :)

Roller Rink Layouts

  • It's that time again! Reveal Night at Studio Calico. Were you chatting it up with us earlier? :) We've upped quantities on the main and all add-on kits! I hope everyone will be able to get what their heart desires.
  • I got them all this month - yup, resistance is futile in my case. I find it so easy to just grab my kits and work with them. So easy I tell you. Whatever is left, I use it for my PL. It's a win-win situation.
  • Here are my layouts for Roller Rink - I hope you like them! :)

  • Documenting the night we spent playing sparklers in the yard, I played with the camera - varying out the shutter speed settings (which I seldom do! lol) .. and the kids thought it was like magic when they saw the photos at the back of the camera.

  • Used my typewriter for the journaling. I used the stamp set from Roller Rink Card kit for the speech bubble. Hand-stitched the orange and teal lines.
perfect
  • I typed the lyric to the song 'F***in' Perfect" by Pink onto the background, reducing the opacity before printing. Then went to town with my Mister Hueys :)

  • This is inspired by Sweetsierra's thread - Toot Your Own Horn. So this is me, tooting :) What I see in myself, sometimes if not all the time. :)

  • An incomplete family photo for Eid this year. Feels weird, but I also love the photo so much I need to scrap it.

  • Hand-stitched around the turquoise paper while watching NCIS LA. lol. I love the combination of colors on this one. They're my favorite nowadays - pinks, yellows and blue/green :)

  • My baby. :) She used to be so petite that she had to stack three chairs/stools/whatever is available to get to comfortable height to eat at the kitchen table. She's still tiny now, but no longer need to stack chairs. :)

  • I cut strips of that sweet colored chevron paper and stitched them onto the white cardstock. No adhesive, so I was able to curl the unstitched part of the strips up for dimension later. Those strips are my favorite part! :)
bff
  • Neha and her BFF. They started school together, I hope they will be friends forever and ever! :)

  • Lots of Taxi used here (i'm in a yellow-kick lately. lol). I took apart the large flowery/doily brad because the size overwhelmed me. :D and I wanted to use it twice on the layout! :)
hellolove
  • Sunday morning at the reservoir. So peaceful but that peacefulness came with lots of mozzies. LOL.

  • I covered pieces of white cardstock with the washi tape in Rainbow Kneesocks to create the 'paper' with diagonal yellow stripes.
beautifulday
  • Some more photos I dug out of my 2008 folder :) Those were the days where we can laze around and hop from one park to another. Now, the girls have 'extra lesson' almost everyday. I try to sneak in playtime whenever I can.

  • Lots of circles, stacked on top of each other with foam dots. My first time creating a landscape layout too! I have a feeling this won't be the last :)
  • I'll see you soon? Yes? :) Edited to add another layout. Duh! Sorry.. :)
herewego

  • My 'main kit only' layout. Lots of white space on this one. I focused more on the journaling :) Love how the two stitched red lines added some colors and also matched Sam's running top.

  • FYI - I think you're amazing too, everyone of you. ♥
  • I'll see you soon. Yes? (This time for real, LOL)

Crate Paper Printer Tray

  • before I start showing you my project, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you who was there for us before, during and after the race on Saturday.
  • No, we didn't make it. Sam started feeling pain around his old injury area as early as 25k. He managed to get to 65k but decided to stop then. I couldn't possibly be prouder of him, for even attempting the crazy ultramarathon, for listening to his body, for admitting that he can't go on.
  • Then we went home and I posted this on Instagram ↓

  • Yup. I went down hard. It was the sun, I tell you, + my 'forgetting' to drink in the midst of cheering for and photographing the runners. That was a horrible night for me. Went to the doctor the next day, got a bagful of meds and I'm almost 100% today. Thank God.
  • Once again, thank you friends. Will he return for this 'unfinished business'? I have no idea. But if he does, you bet I'm gonna be there yet again. With buckets of gatorade and a huge umbrella and portable fans for myself, this time. LOL.
*************************************
  • Time to share the 7G Printer Tray I prettied up with lots of Crate Paper goodness.

  • I wasn't kidding when I say lots of Crate Paper. :) I didn't think I could do it, at first. Then I decided to treat each 'window' as a mini layout then it got easier. If you ask me to choose which one is my favorite 'window' - I won't be able to. I love them all equally! HeeeHeee!!
  • The words were not mine - I found that on Pinterest and thought of my girls when I saw it for the first time. This is going into Neha's room, thus the '12' bingo chip on the last window. She's 12 this year.
  • "remember this' flair from my little shop on etsy. Some Studio Calico wooden veneer stars, some twine, a Maya Road kraft envelope, some machine stitching.
  • The rest are pure Crate Paper. I mix and matched a few collections for this one - some Little Bo Peep, some Paper Heart, some Story Teller and Pretty Party. Would you have guessed at first? I think the collections work so well with each other!
  • I love love love how this one turned out. I'm not a 'project' person, I'm more of a 'layout' person, so having this one turned out as nice as this makes me very happy.
  • How about you? A 'project' person or a 'layout' person? Or maybe a 'mini album' person? Or maybe a 'card' person? :) I'll see you soon. I love you, doesn't matter what 'person' you are. LOL.

Sam is crazy

Untitled

Yes, because you’re crazy
and I’m crazy about you ♥
here we go again. *I still can't breathe*

It was hard, right?
This will be harder, I’m sure.

100 miles. 160.934 kilometres.
6336002 inches.  160934 metres.
528000 feet.  176000 yards.

I’ll be with you every step of the way *well, not every step, but you get the idea, eh?*

You can do this.
And if you can’t, stop whenever, wherever.
And you’ll still come back my hero.
Nothing less.
ILY.

She looks for adventures

  • it's like she can smell it, you know? That trait certainly didn't come from me. I'm perfectly happy just lying down under the umbrella sipping my pina colada. Ha!
  • This is the girl who lights up when she sees the sign for 'Reverse Bungee Jumping' in Phuket. I saw it first and pretended not to see, but she squealed in delight! I looked at her and said - No!
  • Then we came across this one at the mall, tailored to young kids. And I couldn't say no yet again. :) It looks fun!

  • Lots and lots and lots of Crate Paper here. I'm loving the colors here :) I also added some wood veneers from Studio Calico.
  • What about you? What colors are you into these days?
  • I hope to post some Insta Sneaks for Studio Calico October kits soon, in the meantime, follow me here - you get to see sneaks and promos much faster! :)

Magical Magical

  • What is more magical than the sound of children laughing while playing at the park? Nothing I guess. That kind of happiness is just so simple and pure and is music to my ears. It has been a while since we were at the beach-park. Why? I'm not sure. We will be back. Soon.
  • What is not magical? When your children start laughing at each other - that will lead to lots of whining and eventually yelling. *sigh* LOL.
magical
  • I used lots of Heyday on this one, with some leftovers from Central High kit. Can't get enough of the die cuts from Heyday Ephemera pack.

  • Speaking of which, the new collections are up for sale at TwoPeas and also Studio Calico. I'm so excited, especially for the new embellishments!
  • Last night, I did a little shop update for PaperPlay too. Have you taken a look? I added six new sets - here they are.

  • Something for everyone I hope :)
  • So it's Saturday over here in my neck of the woods. What's your weekend plans? We're just chillaxing at home I think. Neha's PSLE (primary school leaving examination) is coming very very soon and we need this downtime. For my sake if not for her. *she's okay, I'm not! I'm so nervous for her!*
