Roller Rink Layouts

  • It's that time again! Reveal Night at Studio Calico. Were you chatting it up with us earlier? :) We've upped quantities on the main and all add-on kits! I hope everyone will be able to get what their heart desires.
  • I got them all this month - yup, resistance is futile in my case. I find it so easy to just grab my kits and work with them. So easy I tell you. Whatever is left, I use it for my PL. It's a win-win situation.
  • Here are my layouts for Roller Rink - I hope you like them! :)

  • Documenting the night we spent playing sparklers in the yard, I played with the camera - varying out the shutter speed settings (which I seldom do! lol) .. and the kids thought it was like magic when they saw the photos at the back of the camera.

  • Used my typewriter for the journaling. I used the stamp set from Roller Rink Card kit for the speech bubble. Hand-stitched the orange and teal lines.
perfect
  • I typed the lyric to the song 'F***in' Perfect" by Pink onto the background, reducing the opacity before printing. Then went to town with my Mister Hueys :)

  • This is inspired by Sweetsierra's thread - Toot Your Own Horn. So this is me, tooting :) What I see in myself, sometimes if not all the time. :)

  • An incomplete family photo for Eid this year. Feels weird, but I also love the photo so much I need to scrap it.

  • Hand-stitched around the turquoise paper while watching NCIS LA. lol. I love the combination of colors on this one. They're my favorite nowadays - pinks, yellows and blue/green :)

  • My baby. :) She used to be so petite that she had to stack three chairs/stools/whatever is available to get to comfortable height to eat at the kitchen table. She's still tiny now, but no longer need to stack chairs. :)

  • I cut strips of that sweet colored chevron paper and stitched them onto the white cardstock. No adhesive, so I was able to curl the unstitched part of the strips up for dimension later. Those strips are my favorite part! :)
bff
  • Neha and her BFF. They started school together, I hope they will be friends forever and ever! :)

  • Lots of Taxi used here (i'm in a yellow-kick lately. lol). I took apart the large flowery/doily brad because the size overwhelmed me. :D and I wanted to use it twice on the layout! :)
hellolove
  • Sunday morning at the reservoir. So peaceful but that peacefulness came with lots of mozzies. LOL.

  • I covered pieces of white cardstock with the washi tape in Rainbow Kneesocks to create the 'paper' with diagonal yellow stripes.

  • Some more photos I dug out of my 2008 folder :) Those were the days where we can laze around and hop from one park to another. Now, the girls have 'extra lesson' almost everyday. I try to sneak in playtime whenever I can.

  • Lots of circles, stacked on top of each other with foam dots. My first time creating a landscape layout too! I have a feeling this won't be the last :)
  • I'll see you soon? Yes? :) Edited to add another layout. Duh! Sorry.. :)

  • My 'main kit only' layout. Lots of white space on this one. I focused more on the journaling :) Love how the two stitched red lines added some colors and also matched Sam's running top.

  • FYI - I think you're amazing too, everyone of you. ♥
  • I'll see you soon. Yes? (This time for real, LOL)

..and FYI: you rock my world. I don't bloghop much these days. Time and energy doesn't add up. BUT every time I come here, I love it. I scroll, I admire, I read, I ogle and swoon. I get teary eyed and go "awww!" and I just love it. All of it. Every piece you make. You are AMAZING!
