- The Roundabout gallery went live last night! Have you been there yet? :)
- This month, I got the Scrapbook Main Kit, Outer Banks, Savannah Shore, PL Main Kit and Cumberland Gap. Didn't get Navy Pier because I already have the slide frames and acetate alphas from Crate Paper. Now I'm regretting the decision because I want that adorable alpha stamp set!
- I also use a lot of SC Grid Paper 12 x 12 this month - I have a feeling they're now a staple for me, just like white cardstock!
This layout came together because of that black VW van transparency. For real :) I have been in love with VW vans forever!! Last year, while being on an adventure with Nidhi (it's really just going to town by bus instead of driving the car. LOL) . . we saw these vintage vans on display! :D
Lots of layers underneath the photos - layers make my heart very happy :) Those travel chipboards are perfect for my layout. :)
ps : there are lots of other shapes inside the pack of transparencies! Not just vans!
I wanted this layout to be simple and sweet. Like ice cream. I think I achieved that! :) Absolutely love the color of that pink chevron paper. Paired with some small tags from my stash, well, I got myself an ice cream colored layout!
I used my cameo to cut the rectangle out of the pink chevron paper. Easy to get it lined up perfectly that way, if you don't have a Cameo, you can draw and cut with a penknife.
I really, REALLY love the colors on this layout. To get the background looking the way it is, I wiped the excess mist (I used Bazinga and Taxi) on the mask after I misted the circles back onto the grid paper. Love the messy look!
The die cuts in Savannah Shore are so SO pretty. Can't get enough of the wood veneer hearts as well, they go together so well with the neon sequins. :)
I saw 'JOURNEY' on the chipboard set and i knew then I want to document Nidhi in Seoul. We had to go first (wednesday night) leaving dad and Neha behind for an exam Neha has to take on Friday. The first two days, these are the people (plus mommy, of course) who entertained her. LOL. Good friends, gooder than good friends! :D
Do you have those days? When the girls were little, some days, going to the airport for McD is an adventure. :) How I miss the carefree days! :)
I cut hearts on the banner (hearts from one of the tag from Happy Little Moments 2 cut file) and layered a scrap piece of pink cardstock underneath. They look so pretty, eh? Yellow polka dots were made with watercolors and mask.
Lots of stitching here. I love that background paper, but wanted some 'texture' on it - so I cut it apart and stitch them back together on a piece of cardstock.
Then I stamped 'happy Note' all over it, on the cream colored strips. :) I love how simple, but oh with so much love this layout was made.
Those slide frames are SO fun! I can see myself using them on a lot of layout from here on out. LOL.
The camera transparency is just what I needed for this just for fun layout! :) The hearts were the cut outs from another layout, I applied some watercolors on them to get that vibrant shade!
You saw this coming, right? A circles layout? Yes? LOL. I used the Sundrifter circles mask + seafoam, taxi and neon pink Mister Huey for the background - love the outcome. My favorite combo right now, you should try them together too if you have not already! :)
I cut apart one PL card from Cumberland for this layout. Loving how the little strips look like tucked in underneath the photos and chipboard tag.
I'll see you soon!
xoxo
