That Horizon Line SC exclusive pp is too gorgeous that I decided to showcase the beautiful colors and lines with this layout. I cut it apart and put it back together on a piece of white cardstock.
Loving the black and white photos and black accents throughout the layout. Added some machine stitching and typewritten journaling for a finished look.

This layout was made with Chamomile Add On only. Beautiful beautiful colors in this particular kit. :)
I stitched the grids in two colors (randomly) then fill the squares up with some tiny photos, patterned papers and stamped images. That pink alphas and lime green hot air balloon accent are perfect contrast for the white, yellow and teal layout.

I used the entire sheet of the transparent letter stickers - I can't help myself. Love it so much I don't want to peel any of it off! LOL.
I printed the photos and 'be you tiful' printable on a piece of SC Grid paper. I just like the way they look. The 'GIRL' alphas was cut from a piece of vellum die cut from Chai Add On (3).

With each passing month, I'm falling more and more in love with hybrid scrapbooking. :)
Printed arrows and 'always' digital stamp (i cleaned it up a bit), and the journaling on a piece of white cardstock, added some hand stitching to make the black pop a little more.

Played around with some negative pieces of die cut to use as a mask. The colors in this month's kits are so so yummy I want to use them all on one layout! LOL. Yellow, Pink, Teal cannot go wrong in my book.
I think the pop of chalkboard and pure black just add more interest to the layout.

I really like the card in the Earl Grey add on! This story has never been forgotten, I have no idea why I haven't put it to paper. :)
I printed the journaling (font : courier) - and used it as inspiration for my simple and (not so) clean layout. Red splat made with distress stain :)

This is my layout to celebrate the achievement of my goal this year - which is to walk 1000k. I bought that 'tree of life' pandora bracelet charm for myself :)
A bit of this and that, that I feel represent me, and also all the time I spent outdoor, walking, one step at a time. That black spectacle frame? = so me. LOL.

Love the colors here. In fact, love the colors of every single kit this month!Rainbow cake? You know who to call for company. Nidhi is your girl! :)
A very colorful layout - i think. But so apt for this cheerful, one of a kind girl and her love for that multicolored, multilayered cake. :D
Had a great time choosing the die cuts that will go on this page, they're all so pretty!

Giveaway : Carta Bella Wildflower : Take Pictures & Leave Memories *closed*

Edited to add : Montse - Congrats!! I left a comment on your blog, for you to contact me. Yay!!

The good people at Carta Bella recently sent me the Wildflower Paper Kit to play with. The colors! Oh the colors! If you know me at all, you know that I adore colors. Beautiful rich colors? Anytime of the day, yes please!

When I think of Carta Bella - I immediately think about the gorgeous texture of papers they produce. *swoon* Their papers are almost like watercolor papers, you see. I haven't had the chance to use my watercolors or gelatos on them yet, but I will. When I do, I will report back here for those of you interested! :)

I absolutely adore that banner going down the side. That's the first thing I cut apart from the sticker sheet! :)

Hexagons were hand cut - first I traced the shape on a vellum, then used the vellum as a template to cut my choice of patterned papers.

Beautiful feathers. They're actually stickers, but I adhered them to come cardstock scraps first, then used some foam dots to add them to the layout. The same with the 'word art' stickers. Love the shadows they created.

I created the background using the free brush (designed by Chantal Phillippe) download from Shanna Noel's blog! Please head on to her blog and check out the Gratitude Documented project she has going on right now :)  I also used  lot of Studio Calico stamps - all in all, I had so much fun!

And now, on to the giveaway.

Carta Bella wants to send one of you a free Wildflower paper kit. Just let me know if you want to be in the drawing by leaving a comment on this post (please make sure you're contactable, as in I can email you or leave comment on your blog). As easy as that. Open to everyone. Absolutely everyone. As long as you're able to leave a comment, you're in. I will close the comment section before selecting the winner.

  • I'm not kidding when I say my girls can SHOP! That is a good thing and also a bad thing. Haha! Photo was taken during one of our shopping 'day' not 'trip', mind you. And by 9pm they were still going strong. Mommy was about to fall flat on her face!
  • I think I used Crate Paper exclusively on this layout. Lemme see - yup! The Pier, Random, Sleigh Ride, Fourteen, DIY and even some Farmhouse I believe! :) *sigh* I love them all!

Happy Girls

Sharing A Crate Paper layout today. Our theme this month is chalkboard! Check out the blog for more inspirations!
happy girls
You can't escape chalkboard. It's everywhere. From home decor, to craft and DIY and even fashion. My girls both have some t-shirts with chalkboard inspired designs. One of them even came with a piece of chalk so you can write what you want on the day that you're wearing it! How cool is that?!
For this layout, I swiped an almost dry mini chalk white ink pad onto my black cardstock and then buffed the whole thing with two pieces of facial tissue paper. The word "art" was cut using my Cameo on a piece of Close Knit's "Needle and Thread" patterned paper. I really think it resembles the actual chalkboard art seen everywhere these days, even if they're designed specifically to be cut from vinyl. I finished the layout with some layered die cuts and brads. Their vibrancy adds a lot to the layout!
