Saturday Sketch - March

I'm a little okay, a lot late this month posting our Come On Get Crafty Saturday Sketch layout - but there is still time if you want to play along! :)

I skipped the diagonal lines on the three corners and stitched squares and rectangles to mimic those on the sketch. Love doing this - been doing it to a lot of my layouts. I noticed that I have to have a good, working background (to me) before I start on my layouts. Stitched and misted backgrounds are my favorite.

Here's a super short video I uploaded to Instagram on the day I was working on this layout. (I hope this works! I have never posted a video clip to Flickr  then attach them here before.)

Shop Items Used :  Pink Paislee (Hey Kid 6x6 Paper Pad), Jenni Bowlin (Tiny Trims Gold Rub-ons), Webster's Pages (New Year New You Mini Messages Word Stickers), American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Toothpick Hearts)

I stamped and die cut some leaves on one of the 6x6 patterned paper from Pink Paislee Hey Kid collection - proof that you don't have to use 'kids' collection on layouts about kids. The papers are versatile enough that I can easily use them for any subjects, any topics!

Also loving the addition of gold throughout the layout - Dear Lizzy glitter hearts and the Jenni B. rub ons. I'm falling more in love with gold the more I use it. Which is kinda weird feeling to me because I'm a silver girl at heart. :)

Don't forget to submit your layouts at the link above!
Until next time. . .

xoxo

Such a pretty layout, Sasha! The only place you'll find gold is in my albums, I'm a silver girl too! :)

Gorgeous as always, Sasha! I hear you on the gold. It's sneaking in on my projects though I'm a silver girl, too. Can't imagine to use/wear it unless on paper.

I love this page of yours, Sasha! I am impressed that you do the stitched and misted background first- I always struggle with that.
